Brendon wised up after Meg had told him to Ashley had been constantly wanting to go out with him. So, when Ashley showed up that day he was going to ask her out and Ashley would say yes really happily and no one would pick on him again. . . .

. . .Too bad it was only a dream.

What really happened was one of the worst things that could happen to a guy who has only asked one girl in his whole life.Brendon noticed Ashley was coming so he shoved his backpacl in like usual. Ashley smiled and said, "Hey!"

Brendon smiled at her. "I was wondering if you wanted to go see a movie this friday. . ." he said. He was trying not to make his voice break because he was so nervous.

Ashley looked at him with sad yet happy eyes. "I'm so sorry, Brendon!" she said. "If only you asked me sooner! I was just asked out yesterday and I said yes!" ((What did you think they were gonna get together? Not gonna happen so soon!))

"Oh!" said Brendon a little down trodden. "Well the early bird gets the worm. Hey, I wish you guys the best of luck!" He said bye and hurried down the hallway to his next class.

"Meg, You were right!" he said. "I could've been able to go out with her had I only asked her sooner. I'm so stupid! Why didn't I see it?"

"It's alright!" she said. "You are not really good talking to girls though I do say this is an improvement for you to be able to get a girl interested in you."

Brendon gave her a death glare. "That isn't funny!" he said. "Anyways it looked liked she was the only one that took interest in me!"

"Nope!" said Megan. "Monica did, Ashley's best friend. Though she didn't say anything because Ashley liked you but I guess now since Ashley is going out with someone else she'll make her move."

Brendon just stared at Megan. "Can you at least try and make her not sound like a carnivore and I'm the dinner!?" he said.

"I can't help it!" said Megan. "I'm a writer I'm influenced by the world and the world is influenced by me!"

"That did not make sense!" said Brendon looking at her. Just then the bell rang indicating that lunch was over.

"I know!" she said, as they dumped their trays. "But that's the point!"
