Brendon had just finished telling Megan his story about Ashely while they were eating lunch. He took a bite of his cheeseburger he had gotten, he chewed it carefully and swallowed. "I don't understand why she looked so disappointed though!" he finally said, confused.

Megan gave him a dumbfounded look. "Have I taught you nothing?" she asked him, shaking her head. "She wanted you to ask her out!"

Brendon who had just took a bite out of his cheeseburger started to choke in surprise. "W-w-why?" he asked. "Wouldn't she want some other guy? I mean c'mon!"

Megan continued to look at him. "Brendon you are hot now!" she said. "You don't have to worry about girls dumping you! Girls now-a-days go for the hot-yet-sensitive guys because they are really hard to come by!"

"I know I look different in all but why would the most popular girl in school want to go out with last year's geek?" he asked. He was more convinced that she was disapointed that he said 'See you later' because after all he was a geek last year. Plus, who would want to hang out with someone who's into homework rather than partying? (Well Meg is an exception)

"She would! Besides, you are not a geek anymore. . .you are now fresh cute meat in the eyes of girls." Meg replied. "I wouldn't be surprised if more girls talked to you today that usually ignore you!"

Brendon raised an eyebrow and looked at her. "I would die!" he said. "I can hardly talk to guys about subjects on girls, how can I actually talk to one?"

"Here follow these tips!" said Megan who began writing on a napkin with a pen. It states as follows:

1) Do not stare at her boobs but don't stare into her eyes to long! (It sends the wrong message, like you are perverted and creepy or both!)

2) To get the conversation going ask about a dance that is coming up or what they are planning on doing that weekend! (Don't seem really interested in the subject on what they are doing that weekend they make think that you want to do something with them. . .Unless you want to.)

3) Use this line in emergency use only if you really want to go on a date with them : Movie or Dinner with me friday? (Or whichever day you perfer)

4) If you are not interested in them but they seem really interested in you don't drop them like a bag of bricks let them down gently saying that you are not really interested in dating anyone or say you like someone else. Say it nicely though!

5) Do not and I repeat do not steal another guy's girl! You can get in serious trouble or at least don't steal a popular guy's girl he has his sight on.

6) Be nice and use your manners! Try and fill in awkward pauses with small talk!

Brendon read the directions thourougly. "Wow!" he said. "I bet half the guys like me who have trouble talking to girls would have a really easy time with directions like these!"

"Thanks!" said Meg, smiling. "But that just because I know you wouldn't use them to get a girl in bed because you at least like to talk unlike some guys!"

Brendon, who wanted to change the subject about his dating life asked Meg about hers. "Well I just dumped Josh because all he wanted to do was get in my pants when I wanted to go do other stuff!" she said, sighing.

The bell rang for them to go back to classes. "That's terrible!" he said looking at her. "Thanks for the advice though!" He dumped his tray and put it on the stack with the others and headed off to class.
