Brendon looked in the mirror. "Yeah I guess I have changed." he said into the phone that was plastered to his ear.

"Of course you have! You look great!" said his childhood friend, Megan.

He no longer looked like what he used to. "Hey Meg! Can you come over and help me pick out clothes for tomarrow? I don't want to look like a geek on the first day of school!" he said into the reciever.

"Of course!" she said. "I'll be over in a bit!"

"Thanks!" he said before hanging up. He continued looking in the mirror. His brown hair was sort of shaggy now and it wasn't too short like before. He had gotten rid of his coke bottle glasses and you could now see his green eyes clearly.

He heard the doorbell ring and before he went down to answer it he took one last look in the mirror. He threw the phone on his bed and took the steps two at a time. Before he answered the door he took a deep breath and let it out. He opened the door and said, "Hey Meg!"

Meg looked at him. Her blonde hair tied back in a ponytail and her blue eyes sparkling like usual. "No time for casual talk! Let's figure out what your going to where!" she said brushing past him. She went up the steps and by the time he had managed to catch up to her she was already digging through his closet.

They had decided on a red t-shirt to show off his not-so-gangly-arms-anymore and tan shorts that went down to the knees that showed off his no-more-chicken-legs.
