My arm had gotten tired from holding up the towel to my mouth so I would switch hands every few minutes. After switching about 20 times my mind began to wonder. Is it really necassary to try and filter out this poison, if there even was any. The radio reported that the attack supposedly happened around 2 a.m. I woke up at 6, that means I had 4 hours to be exposed to the poison. My neighbor, Jim, died in that time.

I started to panic. Jim had blood all over his face. It almost looked like he was bleeding from his eyes. Is that what the poison does? STOP IT! I've got to think straight! If there is poison and my neighbor died from it, then I should be dead too. Once I started to beleive that there was no poison, worse thoughts came to me. What if whoever attacked us is still on the island, cleaning up any survivors? They could of killed Jim. Same problem in my theory though, why didn't they kill me? I live right across from him. Perhaps no one killed him, I didn't get close enough to him to really see how he died. He probably had an aneurysm somewhere around his eyes. That would cause him to bleed from the eyes, right? Maybe he just simply hit his head against something and didn't....

My thoughts ceased and my feet stopped. I saw something moving far ahead of me. It was a car. A car that was coming my way. I didn't know what to do. Was the person in the car friendly? Should I try to get them to help me? Or should I hide in case they would want to kill me. It was too late to try and hide now, they were close enough to see me and there wasn't anything to hide behind.

My heart pounded faster and faster as the car slowed down. I tried to think what the best thing to do was, but my mind was blank. I had so much adrenaline rushing through me that my muscles began to twitch.

The car came to a stop 10 or so feet away from me. And there it sat. Every window was tinted so I could only see a dark figure inside. All of a sudden the door opened and the person inside dropped something onto the road. As soon as the object hit the ground the car door shut again. Before I could make out what was dropped a blinding flash of light made me stumble backwards. My ears were ringing and I couldn't see anything. A flashbang?

CRACK!

The butt of a gun smashed into the back of my head and I fell foward unconsious.
