Nadia was sitting in Movie Theater B at Jacobs Cinemas with her feet propped up on the chair in front of her. Her new favorite demin jacket covered her now-tan-legs. It was t-minus twelve minutes before the latest Will Ferrell movie appeared on screen, but she was already on the edge of her poo-colored seat with excitement.
Ever since Ashley had taken her shopping yesterday, Nadia’s mood has shifted to Guilty to super-excited about ever thirty seconds, depending on whether Ashley was being true to Nadia or she was just using her. Still, being tight with Ashley and her friends was worth hurting Wanda and Adrian’s feelings.
Besides, if she made it threw the drama of Adrian crying all day in the bathroom and having her mother call Nadia’s mother to yell at her. Anything, was possible now.
Nadia had gotten three text messages from Adrian in the past two hours, but she was to busy hanging with the Cherries to even give the iPhone a second thought.
Ashley was talking about some emo girl making out with a emo guys in front of them. “Someone should tell them to get a room,” Emily whispered. Ashley let out a huge snort of laughter. Shoshanna giggled and Andi had no reaction at all.
“Let me this time.” Shoshanna giggled louder. She stood up and hovered off the ‘Emo Couple’.
“Excuse me?” The couple stopped kissing and stared at the blonde hanging over them. “If you want to make out like that, go get a hotel room! Some people are trying to talk back here and we don’t want to hear you moaning.” Shoshanna winked and sat back down next to Nadia and Andi.
“That was so funny!” Emily laughed so loud that a couple of slinky-slim, not pretty girls glared at them.
“Ehamgawd, did you see Matt Heather today?” Ashley laughed. “He is like 100 percent dull and gothic. No offence Emily.” Emily shrugged.
“No one is as fine as Sawyer Lee,” Nadia blurted out, as she mindlessly hugged her jacket.
“You like Sawyer Lee?” Ashley sounded shocked. Nadia nodded afraid, that Ashley would insult her for liking him.
But Shoshanna said. “The movie is about to start.” She checked her watch. “I better go to the ladies’.” She grabbed her brown leather bag and left in a hurry.
Emily ran after Shoshanna saying something about fixing her make-up. Now it was just Nadia, Andi and Ashley.
“So,” Ashley said turning to face Nadia. “Isn’t it, like you’re birthday next weekend?”
“Yup, on Saturday,” Nadia said.
“OMG, I’ve got the, like best idea ever.” Ashley giggled. “We have a boy-girl slumber party at my dad’s beach house!”
Andi smiled. “I remember last year you did that. It was so much fun.” She said, in a whisper.
“Perfect! So Nadia what do you think?”
“Sure.”
“Cool! I’ll do the guest list, since it is at my beach house, but you can help.” Ashley pulled out a piece of paper out of her tote. “Here’s my house address. Come over this Friday and we’ll get the guest list ready.”
“Okay…” Nadia shrugged.
Then, she heard a bang. A girl giggled and a cell phone ringing. Nadia turned around seeing, Wanda and Adrian walking into the room with frowns on their faces and Emily and Shoshanna giggling and whispering, “Slut and Fatty.” Over and over. It was going to be a long day…
