More Than Meets the Eye {2}

Part 2
The cold winter wind and snow blew on Chiyeko’s bare arms and face, but she didn’t even flinch. She was used it. She was more focused on how the girls were going to break into the Aiko Mansion bash. This was something she hadn’t even figured out yet, something she usually figured out easily. Finally, after many long minutes, she gave up and decided to just do it the old fashioned way; she was going to improvise. She sighed, crossed her legs on her hover-board, and stared off towards the horizon. Fireworks and bright city lights illuminated the night sky, making it easy for Chiyeko to spot Aiko Mansion. Aiko Mansion was the tallest, biggest mansion hovering slightly above the ground’s surface. Only the most elite of the city’s residents lived there, and all of the biggest parties of the year were held there. It was a place Chiyeko never wanted to go near, a place she only visited to find something she had lost long ago.
Chiyeko was different from the other girls. She wasn’t from this city, and she never felt like she truly belonged. She had run away from her old life long ago, but she still could never push those memories out of her mind. Her vision blurred as a buried memory forced its way back into her mind.
<<Flashback>>
Tears welled up in Chiyeko’s ice blue eyes and silently streamed down her cheeks as she whispered, “I can’t believe you would do this to me. I can’t believe it…”
“It’s because I love you, Chiyeko,” he had said, with a smirk, pulling her into a hug. “I did this all for you.”
<<End of Flashback>>
“Chieko!” a voice jolted Chiyeko out of her thoughts.
Chiyeko turned around, her auburn hair blowing over her pale face. Her wide, almond-shaped eyes quickly scanned her surroundings and she spotted Miyuki and Kimika zipping towards her on their hover-boards. A small smile formed on her face as her friends flew closer.
“Hey,” Chiyeko said. “Have you guys heard from Manami?”
“No,” Kimika said, sitting down on her hover-board, “not yet. Where is she?”
Chiyeko sighed, and swung her legs around so they were hanging off of her hover-board. “I’ll call her.”
She flicked her fingers and her eye-screen flickered to life. “Ping Manami.” She quickly composed a ping and sent it to Manami. She turned her eye-screen off quickly so it wouldn’t be spotted on the dark hillside.
“Now what?” Kimika wondered.
“Now, we wait,” Chiyeko said simply before turning her hover-board around to face the city again.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Chiyeko looked around the corner of the wall and finally saw what she was looking for: a group of unsuspecting Sweets walking towards Aiko Mansion. She quickly and noiselessly slipped out in front of them and pressed her fingers against their major pressure points, causing them to fall to the ground, unconscious. She swiped their invites and placed her metal emblem, a pentagram with a broken heart in the middle of it, in one of the Sweet’s hands.
“Sleep tight,” she whispered with a smirk.
She glided back over to where her friends were hiding, in one of the dark gardens, and handed them each an invitation. They all put on their paper thin masks which molded to perfectly fit their faces, disguising them, just in case they meet any form of security. Chiyeko grinned. This was going to be easier than she thought.
