The Curse of Magix *Epilogue*
|
One year had passed. One year since that tragic day when Ciarra was lost. One year since that horrible time when tears never seemed to cease. One year to turn disaster into celebration.
“Come on, Camille!” Angel shouted as she ran through the school’s gates. “We’re going to miss our train!”
Camille laughed, “But Angel, dear, if I ran I would end up tripping and ruining our perfect lunch. And you don’t want that to happen, now do you?”
Angel made a face. “I guess not… but still! Hurry! If we miss this train we’ll have to wait another hour!”
Camille sighed and lightly jogged over to where her friend was. The two walked arm in arm the rest of the way.
The train ride was normal enough, filled with jokes and laughter. But, as soon as they stepped off the train and into Magix Central, a tone of solemnity filled the air. Angel and Camille walked silently to the palace. They knocked on the door and were received kindly by the doorman, who, by now, knew them very well. They walked towards the palace’s burial ground and quickly located Ciarra’s grave. They wordlessly set up the simple picnic that they had brought with them, and Camille poured two cups of sparkling apple cider.
They raised their glasses in celebration.
“To Ciarra, our wonderful friend who was willing to risk everything just for the safety and wellbeing of her realm. She was brave, courageous, and one of a kind. Today, we celebrate her accomplishments and hope that, because of her, the people of Magix will live better, happier lives. We will never forget you, Ciarra.”
[[ookay! thats it! The Curse of Magix is officially... DONE! but thanks for reading! and please check out my other stories!]]
