The Curse of Magix *6*
|
“Ooooh,” Drixy mocked, “I’m soooo scared! Just look at how much I’m shaking! Ciarra, you don’t stand a chance.”
Ciarra crinkled her eyebrows in anger and her elegant hands formed fists. She squinted her eyes, trying her hardest not to lose her temper.
“I think we should go,” Valcania whispered to Drixy. “It looks like she’s getting extremely angry, and you know what’ll happen then.”
Drixy nodded at Valcania, and, at Drixy’s signal, Valcania said, “Later, witch girl! As much as we would love to stay, we really have to go.”
And, in a brilliant flash of light, the three witches disappeared.
*Later, at Mrs. Fyora’s office*
After Ciarra, Camille, and Angel informed Mrs. Fyora of the witches’ attack, she closed her eyes and sighed. She opened her eyes and faced her ornate wall mirror.
“Attention students and faculty,” she announced to the school, “there has been a slight disruption early this morning, as some of you may have noticed. It is nothing to be concerned about. However, there was some slight damage done to the infirmary in the west wing. If at least five student volunteers and a faculty member will report to my office, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, and have a wonderful school day.”
A few minutes later, Mrs. Fyora sent some students and a faculty supervisor to clean up and fix the mess that was in the infirmary. Then, finally, she turned to face Ciarra, Camille, and Angel.
“Alright, ladies,” she said calmly, “now, I assume that no one was seriously injured?”
All three girls shook their heads. Besides a few cuts and scratches, they were all unharmed.
Mrs. Fyora nodded, “Okay then, Ciarra, let’s try to break this curse of yours. Please tell me what you know.”
Ciarra took a deep breath and explained, “All I know I was born, a curse was set upon me. If anyone was to say my name, it would release the evil spirit resting within me. Once this spirit is released, horrible things begin to happen, and it keeps getting worse and worse until I end up destroying the world as we know it. But to ensure that no one would take advantage of this curse, it was made so that the person who said my name would suffer consequences as well. But, that’s all I really know…”
“I see… I think I may know a bit more. A book in the library’s Restricted Chamber once let me read quite a bit about the Curse of Magix. You see, in order to break the curse, you must act with not even the least bit of selfishness. Of course, this will be a very hard task, one that is almost impossible. Unfortunately, the book didn’t let me read any further than that. But, Ciarra, I wish you the best of luck in breaking this curse.”
“Thanks, Mrs. Fyora,” Ciarra said softly, lost in thought.
After a brief moment of silence, Mrs. Fyora clapped her hands and said, “Well, ladies, you will have plenty of time to ponder this later. For now, I think you should get to class so you don’t fall behind; especially you, Ciarra. Go on now, all of you.”
[[i know this is kind of boring... but thanks for reading anyways!]]
[[also, i dunno if this story's gonna have a happy ending or a sad ending... but i have a feeling that i'm gonna make it have a sad ending... so... stay tuned!]]
