The Curse of Magix *1*

Creative Created on 11-10-07 Views(68) Story Rating G

BRING!!! Ciarra's alarm clock screamed. The red, flashing numbers showed 7:15 which meant she had exactly fourty five minutes to make sure she had all of her things and get ready for her first day of school. This was her first time traveling so far away from the palace and she was more than a little bit nervous. She took a deep breath and picked through the mess on her floor to see if she had everything she needed for school. This was her first day at Magix High School for Princesses and Fairies. Ciarra felt a little spring in her step as she got ready and felt light and tingly, as if something special was going to happen.

At the same time, three witches were also getting ready for school. They were also enrolled in Magix High, and thier identity there was a group of sister fairies. Their names were Drixy, Cornelia, and Valcania. They were seniors, which meant Ciarra would be a freshman, and thier long awaited chance had finally come. They planned to unleash the cursed that Ciarra held and take her powers for themselves. Thier ancestors had tried this before, and they were back to finish the job...

*Later*

"Welcome to the Magix High School for Princesses and Fairies. I'm your headmistress, and my name is Mrs. Fyora. I hope that you will all go on to become fairy godmothers, fortune tellers, or queens of your respecful realms. Some of you may end up saving the world.

I am a Magix High graduate, myself, and a former fairy godmother. I want you all to be as happy as possible here at the school. I want to encourage you all to connect with your powers as much as you possibly can. Alright, you're all dismissed. Please go find your dorms," Mrs. Fyora finished her introduction and pointed all of the girls in the direction of a long corridor.

As Ciarra approached her dorm, she heard voices. It sounded like two people were in the middle of an argument.

"No way," a girl's soft voice refused. "You'll be spoiled and then you'll be even more of a grump than you are now."

     "Well, I don't care!" a boy's voice yelled back.

     "Shhhh...please, calm down."

"Unless you do as I asked, there's no way I'm gonna be 'calming down' anytime soon!"

"I'm so sorry, but I simply can't. Please try to understand."

Ciarra took a deep breath and pushed open the giant wooden door. When she walked in, she saw an enormous room with beautiful stained glass windows that gave the golden sunshine a rainbow glow. There were two queen sized beds, one on each side of the room, and the sheets were made of the finest silk. On one side of the room, Ciarra found a slender girl with light brown hair and an exhausted look on her face. She was sitting on her bed and looking at a small tree that sat on her bed-side-table.

"Ummm... hi...?" Ciarra's voice quickly trailed off.

"Oh, hi! I'm so sorry if you heard any yelling. I'm Camille, the princess of Valkeria. And this is Kazuki, my tree," the girl said kindly. She was obviously the princess of Valkeria, judging by the way she was dressed. She was wearing a flowy, red scoop-neck, bell sleeved shirt and a knee length white skirt. Both of these were made from very fine, soft, light fabric; just the thing Valkeria was famous for, after the grace and beauty of all of its people.

"You named your tree Kazuki," Ciarra said unwilling to believe that someone would even think of such a thing.

"Well, you see, I thought that if trees could talk, it would save all of those rain forests... but so far, all I've gotten out of this is a big headache," Camille answered in a kind voice. "And I don't recall you telling me your name..."

"Oh, um... my name's A-, I mean, Ciarra. I'm the princess of Magix," Ciarra was so nervous she almost slipped up.

Camille responded with a sweet smile and said, "Well, it's very nice to meet you Ciarra! Ha-"

BRING!!! A loud bell interupted Camille.

"Oh, that annoying dinner bell," Camille pouted. "Oh well... let's go. I'll introduce you to a bunch of people at the dinner table. Anyways, as I was saying, have you ever been here before?"

"N-no, umm, I've never really left Magix Central... You know, around the palace; give or take about five miles or so," Ciarra tryed to keep concentrated on the conversation they were having, but was distracted by everything they passed. Girls walked around in groups, giggling and talking, and every noise made was amplified and echoed around the high-ceilinged hallway. Everyone seemed to be walking in generally the same direction. Finally, they reached their destination: the dining hall.

The dining hall was huge, with large, ceiling-to-floor windows, and elaborately painted walls. There were four long tables in it, and at the front, there was a smaller table on a slightly-higher-up balcony-like platform for the teachers.

"Okay, Ciarra, just follow me. Our table is over there; all of the freshman sit there. Sophmores sit there, juniors sit there, and seniors there," Camille pointed to each table in turn.

"So, am I supposed to sit anywhere I want at the table or..." Ciarra looked confused and maybe a bit nervous.

"Well, you just find the seat with your name," Camille explained. Suddenly, her smile became ten times brighter, if that's even possible, and she was waving excitedly to someone. "Hey, Ciarra, see that senior who looks a lot like me? That's my sister, Fiala. You'll get to meet her very soon." Camille mouthed Good bye! to her sister and led Ciarra to the freshman table. "Oh, and if you need any help with finding your seat, I can help you, if you want."

"Umm, no thanks, I think I already found my seat," Ciarra replied. "Omigosh! It's practically at the head of the table."

"Don't be nervous, Ciarra," Camille giggled. "I'm sitting right across from you!"

"Attention ladies!" announced Mrs. Fyora. "As a school tradition, we will be having a dance party to celebrate the new year. You are welcome to bring music that you wish to play. If you have anything that you wish to perform, please tell us. Enjoy your dinner!"

"Camille! This is great! I have the most perfect-est outfit in the world!" a girl next to Ciarra was practically jumping out of her seat. She had long black hair, half of which was pulled up into two pigtails, while the rest of it swished down to the small of her back. She had bright, cheery eyes and fair skin.

"Ciarra, I want you to meat my friend, Angel. Angel, this is Ciarra, the princess of Magix," Camille introduced the two girls.

"Hey Ciarra," Angel greeted. "I'm the princess of Psychus; so basically, I have super awesome psychic powers! Anyways, I love music, so I think I'm gonna suggest a few songs!"

Just a few tables away, the witches were equally as excited, but for all of the opposite reasons. This was going to be the night when they finally got their ultimate triumph.

Today's the day, Drixy thought, when we're finally gonna teach those goodie goodie two-shoes pixies a lesson they'll never forget!
