I began to shake and my palms got sweaty. As many teenage magazines would say, I was in complete and udder I love you shock. And the BEST part was that all eyes were on me, of course. The one kid in high school who wants to blend in and be apart of the crowd gets the opposite.

“Uhh…” I responded looking down at my shaking body, than to Nick, than to everyone else than repeating the process.

“Come on.” He said holding his hand out. I guess he figured out that crowd wasn’t really making my answer any easier. So I took his hand and let him guide me out of the evil staring crowd. His hand was course from the guitar and a little sweaty from either performing or having me hold his hand. His fingers turned in and began to curl around mine, I couldn’t help but smile; his hand felt sensational against mine. He led me down the main hallway into the gym and down the back way out of the school. We ended up in the back of the school bleachers sitting across from each other in the grass. It was very awkward as we sat down and waited for each other’s response. Nick was fiddling nervously with his shirt. My wandering eyes couldn’t help but try and sneak a peak of his famous abs. But, sadly, I didn’t get to see them.

“So, when did this whole ‘I love you’ phrase get into your head?” I said breaking the awkward silence, “If its pity, please kill me now.”

My heart ached in response, “No please don’t,” I pleaded.

“I wont… It’s just a joke.” She said.

“I know… sorry.” I felt my face flare up. Goddamn it I thought. I tried to hide my face by putting it down.

“So, you gunna answer my question?” She said leaning her head down to get down to my eye level. When I looked up at her, she was unexpectedly close so we became closer than ever. I could feel her breath quicken and mine stop. I just stared into her deep green eyes and wrap my arms around her, bring her closer and…

“Never mind.” She breathed with passion.

“What?” I said with a smile.

“Now I understand why you’re ‘love me’.” She whispered, she looked down and a smirk grew on her face.

“Oh.” I began to lean away.

“Hey, where are you going?” she argued, I felt her hands trace up my arm, seize a handful of my hair and push me towards her, but this time our noses were touching and I could breath again. I laughed a little.

“No where.” I mumbled. I guess she heard because she blushed a little. She leaned into me and slid her cheek against mine and rested her head on shoulder, she wrapped her arms around my neck and I wrapped mine around her waist.

“So, why do you love me?” she asked.

“This is going to sound so cheesy, and stalker-ish. But I’m not, really.” I warned.

“That’s ok.” She said.

“Well, I love you because you…” I took a deep breath in, “you bite on your pencil when you didn’t study for a math test, which you barely do because you always study because you’re so smart and responsible. That’s another couple reasons why I love you too. I love you because when you walk, you create your own wind, and when you walk past me I pray to god that I can just catch the scent of your sweet perfume and if I do everything just smells that much better. I love you because of how much fun you have, how much you smile, your smile, your eyes, your hair, your body, your clothes, and I love all your flaws. Like how headstrong you can be sometimes. Like remember that time when you thought you had the right answer in math and it wasn’t right at all but you fought with the teacher for 20 minutes just to prove your point.” I laughed a little at the memory, “But I mostly love you because you don’t take life for granted, you do the things you desire to do, how stupid or crazy they are. And I wish I could do the same, but I’m just so…so… afraid.” After a couple of minutes I didn’t hear a response back, I begin to have a mini panic attack.

“Sorry if I scared you.” I said, I pulled her face of my shoulders and into my hands, and made us face to face. She had tears in her eyes and a huge smile on. I couldn’t help but smile back, “you ok?”

“I am amazing because of you.” She pulled out of my hands and hugged me. Her body felt like it belonged in my arms, she was so warm and her touch made my body shiver and jolt with desire and happiness. “The only problem is, I don’t know you at all. And… I don’t even know if I love you back.”

“That’s ok, I didn’t really expect one back.” I laughed at myself. There was a couple moments of silence as she began to think. Suddenly she got up, my body sadden by her absents. Now that I had her in my arms, I wanted them there forever.

“I know how I’m going to get to know you. We are going to spend every minute together!” she raised up one finger like a super hero. I laughed and got up from the grass.

“Ok…” I responded. My whole self was aching for her warmth to come back; I also wanted to do one little thing. “Can I just do something?”

“Uh sure.” She said. I grabbed her waist and brought her closely to me. Her face widened with surprise as she realized what I was about her. I smiled at her wonderful beauty and leaned in to place a small light kiss on her lucious lips.
