Fade to Black

       It was one of those hot sticky days that mats your hair to your forhead and forces you to hide indoors from the heat. I was chillin' in my room with three fans blowing at me so I could keep cool. There wasn't anything unusual about this particular summer day. It was just like how I usually spent all my days; lying in my room with several books and magazines and fans blowing on me. I had just started a new book called A Great and Terrible Beauty when my mother came in and started yelling at me to get a job,get out of the house blah blah blah. I yelled back at her and told her I was gonna go for a walk then breezed past her into the living room where I walked to front door and slipped on some shoes. I grabbed my cap at the last minute and walked out the door.

      I walked to a small derelict park that had two swings that weren't broke and little else besides the weeds. I sat down in the better of the two swings,the one that didn't have tons of bird crap in it, and started swinging side to side humming an incoherrent song.

     After a while I got bored and really sweaty and started to get up out of the swing when two arms wrapped around my neck and squeezed.My hands flew up and grasped the arms that were suffocating me. I tried to pull the arms away from my neck but it was all in vain. I was gasping for air and staring up into the sky praying for somebody to just happen to walk by the park and help me. I stopped struggling as I lost the feeling in my arms and legs and my vision was slowly fading to black. Before I passed out the only thought racing through my head was Crap. My mom is gonna kill me for being late to dinner.
