The Story of a Girl

   Adrien kicked down the front door of the small house and walked in with his fangs bared. The thirst had taken over his body to where he couldn't barely stop himself from killing the whole family. The father had been easy to kill,he just broke his neck and practically ripped out his jugular trying to satisfy his thirst. The mother had ran to the gun cabinet and blown a few holes through his chest,but he quickly healed and rushed at her ripping her head off in in his rage.A wimpering sound made him whirl around to see a small girl crawling under the living room table.

  "Don't eat me Mr.Monster." She cried.She was clutching onto a raggedy teddybear.Both were splattered with blood. Adrien glided over to where she was cowering and crying. He stroked her velvet soft blonde hair and considered how he should kill her. Her scent was sweet and innocent like most little girls,but there was an underlying smell that he hadn't smelled before on children.Blood,but not from the dead parents.It was her own blood and the smell was coming from a place that it shouldnt have been coming from. It was apparent that the father had been doing things to this girl and the mother hadn't even had the slightest idea.

  "Poor child,you have been ruined at a young age,"He reached out to take hold of her,"Come with me."

  "Are you going to eat me?"

  "No,you've suffered through so much.So much that I want to make it all better for you."

   "Y...your not going to hurt me like daddy are you?"she squeaked as he brought her out from the table and cradled her in his arms softly kissing her forhead.

   "No,i would never treat you like that man."

   He stood up with her in his arms and walked out the front door just as he heard the sirens of police units heading this way. He jumped up onto the neighbors house and kept going till they were a safe distance from the scene.

   "Why did you kill my daddy and mommy Mr.monster?"

   "Because,"He said,deciding not to tell her the truth,"I wanted to save you and make you a princess of a magical world."

   "Really! I want to be a princess! My name will be Princess Jade!"

   "Is that your name? Jade.It is the most lovely name I've ever heard in my life."He held her close as he flew above the houses and stores,she fit so perfectly in his arms and her smell wafted up to his nose.It was so perfect,so unreal,it was like a fairy tale ending. If only he wasn't such a monster.
