onversation continues..."And that means I don’t need you finding a new girl and then basically telling her I mean nothing to you." I said.
"That ant going to happen again." he said looking at me.
"Yea, you say that now." I said folding my arms.
"Angela," he said lifting my chin up an I jerked away and he gave a confused look. I bit my lip nervously. I tried not to think about Chris and what he’d done to me.
" All I can give you is friendship right now." I said softly. He was silent.
" Good, I kinda miss you fussing with me." he said.
" What?" I asked confused. He cut his eyes at me.
" I miss the way we use to fuss. You so cute when you get aggervated." he said. I blushed.
" You are so corny." I said letting a out a light laugh.
" Oh yea." he said looking at me as I laughed.
" Yes." I said looking at him crazily still laughing.
" See, this is what I get for trying to be all romantic and shit." he said frowning.
" It’s ok Jay. I kinda like it." I said patting his leg. A silence fell over the car. He reached for my hand and I snatched it away again. A little to quickly, I scared myself. He looking at me in my eyes and I looked away.
"Are you alright?" he asked with concern.
"Yea, um yea I’m fine." I staggered. I felt him stare at me awhile.
" I have to get home." I said and glanced at him. He just kept looking at me.
" Ok, I guess I’ll see you then." he said finally breaking eye contact with me. He opened the door and hopped out.
" Bye." I said softly and looked at him. When he stepped out , Mike called him over to his car and he jogged over to him.
When I got in the house, my mom and Stanley, my dad were sitting in the living room laughing and talking together.
" Hey Ma." I said as I came in.
" Hey Angie baby." she said wiping a tear from her eye.
" Hey sweetie." my dad said smiling.
" Yall look like you are having a good time. What’s all this laughin and crying about?" I said irritated.
" Well, what’s with you?" Ma said arching her eye brows at me.
" Nothing. Why?" I said.
" You got a attitude that’s why." she said rolling her eyes at me, " me and your father were just reminiscing on some old times." she said glancing at him and burst out laughing again.
"Oh-kay, where is Niya?" I asked feeling sensing a feeling of exhaustion as I flopped into the recliner.
" She in the room doing her homework." Stanley replied.
" Oh." I said simply. I let out a deep breath.
" Long day?" he asked.
" Very, I feel so tired." I said.
" You can go lay down." Ma suggested.
" What’s wrong with out here?" I asked, well more like snapped.
" Nothing, I just thought it would be more comfortable." she said drawing back.
" Oh, well I guess so then." I said taking my precious time to get up.
" Gosh Angela, you acting older than me." she said laughing at how it was taking me to get up. I rolled my eyes.
As I was walking past she called to me. "I meant to tell you, Sara called for you. She didn’t say much she just wants to talk to you." she said.
"Probably some lame ass apology or either she tryna play another attempt to retaliate." I thought to myself but either way I didn’t really want to hear it. I crawled onto my bed. I didn’t even remember drifting off to sleep.
