I Want to know Everything (7)

" Daijah have you seen my black dress shirt in there." I asked walking into her room. She was sitting up in her bed watching TV.

" No, I gave that back to you already." she said.

" I don't see it." I said walking out and relooking. I found it of course I must have over looked it.

" See." she said when I came in with it on.

" Where you going?" she asked.

" Derion invited me to this lil party him and his team mates are throwing."

" Gosh you don't know what you want do you?" she asked.

" Yea I do. I am over Dee so there is nothing wrong with going to have a little fun. You never know Drey might be there." I stated appling my lip gloss.

" Yea right. You know you going to see Dee." she said.

" So what if I am? What's the wrong in that?" I asked putting on my dangly earring.

" What kind of shoes are you wearing?" she asked.

" My black pumps, Why?" I asked.

" Exactly, you wearin yo hooker heels." she said. I laughed and walked off. I wanted to make sure Dereion was completely out of the picture even though I was almost positve that all the feelings for him had faded I wanted to be sure.

When I walked in I noticed how classy it was. The DJ was playing soft R&B music. I could tell from all the men above 6'0 feet that I was in the right place.

I spotted Dereion and snuck up behind and tapped him on the side. He slightly jumped and turned around. I laughed.

" Oh Kiya, hey." he said giving a warm hug.

" Hey Dee, how you been?" I asked smiling. he had this glow when he smiled back. I remebered why I loved him so much.... see I didn't say love I said loved. I was truthfully getting over him a little bit more everyday.

" I've been good actually. Umm, this is Lauren." he said introducing me to the girl I really hadn't even noticed standing there.

" Hey, I'm Kiya." I said friendly giving her a side hug. She was a petite girl and beside Dee she looked so small but she had a bueatiful face and the prettiest long hair.

" Nice to meet you." she said looking to me and then up to Dee.

" So, How long has this ben going on?" I asked as he placed his arm around her.

" Awhile now." he responded.

" 5 months." she said to me. I nodded. Damn! Where have I been? I thought. I gave Dee a loook that said why hdidn't you tell me. He laughed.

" What?!" he said. I folded my arms and glared at him.

" Oh, you know what?" I said.

" I meant to tell you." he said innocently.

" Sure you did." I said and he hugged me and shook me.

" I'm sorry Kiya. I been busy ok." he said. I pushed him away.

" I don't want to here it mister." I said.

" So how do you two know each other?" she asked.

" High school." he both said in unison. She drew back at our together. I looked at Dee and laughed.

" Yea, I played against him in basketball and I won everytime." I said laughin.

" You lost every one Kiya." he said simply.

" Denial." I whisped to Lauren and she laughed. Someone tapped Dee.

" Yo' its time to eat." he said.

" Well ladies, its time to eat." he said taking Lauren's hand," Where is Sara and Chad?" he asked.

" I don't know." she siad.

" Well bay go ahead and let me go find them." he said kissed her on the forehead. She watched him leave. It was so cute. Now a couple of months ago I wouldn't have been able to deal with all this but all i kept thinkin about was Drey. We walked to the table together and sat down. It wasn't long before Dee came back with Sara and Chad. they went to high shcool with us too and Sara used to be be one of my best friends and she knew how I use to feel about Dereion.

We immediately hugged when we saw each other and got settled down. Dee waited for us to be seated and stood up at the table.

" HEY EVERYBODY, I HAVE A ANNOUNCEMENT!" he yelled. Everything slowly got quiet at his powerful voice.

" TONIGHT I'M GOING TO MAKE A BIG MOVE IN MY LIFE AND WANT EVERYBODY AT THIS TABLE AND MY TEAM TO BE HERE WHEN I DO." He began.

" You all know know Lauren Right?" he asked. The crowd nodded yes.

" So she means so much in my life. I mean she's bueatiful, smart, polite everything and she a freak." he said and the crowd laughed. He loooked at her in her eyes.

" Baby, I want you to know I love you so much." he said still looking at her.

" I love you too baby." she said. He walked to her and took her hand. She stood up and looked around nervously. He got down on one knee and she covered her mouth and mines just dropped open. I can't beleive he was doing this.

" Oh my god Dereion." she exclaimed.

" Lauren Elonna Johnson will you marry me?" he said and as he said it ears came to her eyes.

" Yes." she said timidly and full of emotion. He slid the ring on her finger. It was absolutely gorgeous and huge. He got up and kissed her. Everybody classed and I was still at awe. Dereion was getting married!! I never ever thought I'd be so happy for him. They were going out to celebrate but I had a class tomorrow morning so I passed even though I wanted to go so bad..

" You sure you ok with this." Sara asked assuming I still liked Dee like that.

" Yea. I'm positive. I'm over him." I said.

" So why are you leaving then." she asked.

" Cause I do have class." I said.

" Um hum" she said.

" Well I'm leaving and I'm proud of Dee." I said seriously.

" Ok, I believe you. I guess I'll see you in another decade then." she said I laughed.

" Bye." I said.

I felt so releived to take them damn heels off when I got home I didn't know what to do. It was on 10 but I felt drained. I heard my phone vibrate at around 11.

" Hello." I said without looking at who it was.

" Hey bueatiful," they replied. Was this who i though it was? I looked. It read Drey.

" Oh hey stranger," I said flopping over on my stomach.
