Krissy leaned over Elijah trying to wake him up. About five minutes later he woke up. Krissy made Elijah get in the passenger seat so she can drive. She sped out of the parking lot in the direction Janice and DJ went. Elijah sat in the seat with a blank stare on his face. Krissy reached over and grabbed his hand, "Its going to be all right. Im gonna get her back, this is all my fault I am so sorry, I shoudl have never left McKenzie with her. I am so sorry baby." Krissy held back her tears so she can see to drive. Elijah sqeezed her hand, "It's not your fault, dont blame yourself, you didnt know what kind of person Janice was, I love you Krissy you know that right?" Krissy was puzzled. "Yes I know you love me and I love you to, Elijah what are you thinking about doing?? Please dont do anything stupid!!" Elijah turned his head " Nothing. Im not gonna do anything stupid" Then there was silence. for about 10 minutes straight. Not a sound.
After driving 20 minutes they seen a car broke down on the side of the road. Eliajh seen who it was and yelled "Pull over!!" So she did. Elijah jumped out of the car and ran to the broke down car. Sitting on the hood of the car was DJ. He tried running to the drivers door to jump in but Elijah grabbed him and pinned him down. "Where is she!" Elijah screamed in his face. " In a little place called heaven" DJ whispered as he laughed. Eliajh banged his head on the ground, "Where the hell is she!! Stop fricken playing around, all i want is my baby back and your gonna tell me where she is RIGHT now!" DJ sighed and his smile disappeared from his face. "Ok, man, I honestly dont know. Janice dropped me off at a buddys house while she did somethin with the little girl. She wouldnt even tell me where she was." Elijah let him go.And looked inside the car, "Where is Janice?" "She walked up to the gas station" DJ sounded sincere. "You honestly didnt have nothin to do with all this did you?" Elijah asked him. "No man, shes my girlfriend and i love her and all,so i played along, i didnt think it was gonna get this serious. I been trying to tell her to give up, that the police are out looking for us, but she said no. But man, I want to help you get her back." Eliajh looked at the ground, " Get her to tell you where she is, we will follow behind you, but dont tell her we were here." "OK im real sorry about this.I should have never agreed with her to do this." DJ shook his head. "Just get my daughter back, and there wont be no problems." Elijah started walking back to his car when he seen Janice walking toward him. It was dark out so she couldnt see who it was. So ELijah hurried up and took off in his car.
Janice got to DJ and asked, "Who was that?" DJ said, "Oh just this guy wanting to know if I needed any help." "Oh ok, well heres some gas." DJ poured the gas in the gas tank and drove off. WHen he passed the gas station Elijah and Krissy pulled behind them and began to follow. DJ was driving and he asked Janice.." Janice where is McKenzie?" Janice laughed "I told you she is fine." "No Janice WHERE is she?" DJ started to get mad. "OK, OK I'll tell you. Shes at the Old Red Barn. Remember that? Thats where we first met. Out in the open field. Remember?" DJ sped up heading toward the barn. The barn was about a half hour away from where they were. So DJ went 10 miles an hour over the speed limit to get there quicker. Elijah and Krissy followed behind. It was about 2 am. When they arrived. DJ pulled in and Eliajh pulled in next to them. Janice had fell asleep so she didnt see Elijah.
Eliajh ran inside the open doors. Krissy ran along side of him. DJ just sat in the car. Waiting to find out what happens. He wasnt sure what Janice had did to McKenzie. And he was afraid to find out. INside the barn Elijah frantically searched around the hay for his little girl. Finally Krissy yelled for him. "Elijah over here!" There she was just laying there in a pile of hay. Elijah had tears falling from his eyes, "Im scared Krissy.Is she breathing?" Krissy grabbed Elijahs hand and sqeezed it.
