At school, Krissy showed off her ring to all the girls." Its beautiful" "Its lovely" "Its so sweet" all the girls complimented it. She couldnt help but get destracted by it in each class. She keep staring at the clock as she did the day before. Brrrriiiiinnnnnnnnnnngggggggg. She started to walk out the door when a girl named Janice grabbed her arm and pulled her into the girls room.
"What the hell do you think you are doing marrying that asshole?" She screamed into Krissy face. " What the fuck? I dont even know you! and you have know right to call my fiance an asshole!" Krissy screamed right back. Janice loosened up, "Yeah, you know about Maddyson, well she was my best friend, and she got knocked up by that fucker, who didnt even care about the baby!" Krissy looked confused..."WHAT!?! He did to care about her! And he loves that baby very much!" "Is that what he told you?" Janice crossed her arms. "He didnt even have to tell me, i can see it in his eyes. He loves McKenzie very much and is happy to have her back in his life." Krissy said getting angry at her.."And dont you ever, EVER call my fiance an asshole again, do you hear me!" Janice started crying. Krissy sighed..."What is this all about?" Janice stopped crying and explained everything to Krissy.
Janice had been in the delivery room when McKenzie was born. Whenever Maddyson needed help with the baby, Janice was there. She was like McKenzie's second mom. Janice loved McKenzie as much as Maddyson did. And once she found out Maddysons mom couldnt take care of her no more, she wanted custody of McKenzie. But McKenzies grandmother didnt think it was a good idea. She wanted McKenzie to know her dad. Janice hated the fact she wasnt getting McKenzie, and the fact MAddysons mom didnt even tell Elijah about her." I am so sorry, I didnt know anything about this." Krissy appoligized to her, "You know, you can come over and visit her whenever you like. Im sure Elijah wont mind." Janice hugged Krissy. "Can i come over today?, I really miss her." Krissy smiled, "Sure you can ride over there with me now. But we have to go now, because Elijah has a job interview to go to at 4 and its already 3:20."
They got to the house and Krissy introduced Janice and Elijah. She quickly told him what had happened and he agreed with her coming over to visit whenever."She is taking a nap in our room Krissy, and she already had lunch. I'll be back later love you." He said as he walked to his car. He didnt want to be late for his interview at 'Joes Mechanics'.
"Crap, I forgot to stop by my parents house this morning. And I really need to talk to them." Krissy told Janice as they walked in the house. " Do you think you could watch McKenzie for about an hour?" "Sure, no problem" Janice said. "Ok Elijah should be back soon, heres my cell phone number in case you need me." Krissy handed her a strip of paper. "We will be fine." Janice assured her. Krissy grabbed her keys, kissed McKenzie on the forehead and left. As soon Janice heard the car gone, she picked up the phone and dialed a number. "It was easier then I thought" she told the person on the phone. "Yeah, Im here with her alone, we'll be waiting for you outside....okay bye." She hung up.
"Come on baby, lets get you dressed, remember me sweetie, its Janice, Im gonna take you for a ride okay, you like going for rides right?" Janice got McKenzies shoes on and grabbed a sweater. She picked McKenzie up and walked out the door, leaving the door wide open. McKenzie was still half asleep as Janice put her in the car that had been waiting out side for them. "Lets get outta here." Janice told the driver. And the car sped away. Leaving black streaks in the drive way.
A half hour later Elijah pulled up into the drive way. His stomach turned when he seen the streaks and the door wide open. He left the keys in the egnition an ran into the house. He yelled for Krissy and then McKenzie. Then he searched all the rooms, no sign of anyone. He called Krissy on her cell phone. "Baby where you at?"Elijah asked "Im at my parents house, why? Didnt Janice tell you?" "No she didnt why would she even still be here?" "Shes not there? Is McKenzie still there?" There was fear in Krissy voice now. "McKenzie isnt with you??" Elijah started getting scared. "No." Krissys voice was almost silent.
