Marco ran through the dark forest, dodging branches, jumping over logs, and zoomed through fallen trees.
Marco stopped to breathe; he grabbed his knees and coughed. “Juan…” He said out of breath. Marco looked around the dim forest, shaking uncontrollably, and shone the flashlight here and there. “HELLO?” He yelled into the dark, hoping someone… anyone would hear him.
CRACK!!!
The sound of something breaking through wood could be heard in the distance. Marco stood up, and looked around. “I should get moving.” he began to jog away again, running past a scatter of trees.
THWAAAACKKKK!!!!
Marco fell to the ground. He sat up quickly, looking face to face with Gabriel.
“Marco?”
“Gabriel?”
Both stared at each other, rubbing their foreheads.
“Where is Juan?”
Marco looked at Gabriel, and took a breath before explaining.
“Something came out of the forest! It attacked him, he told me to run! It was some sort of monster! It had red eyes and it ---.”
“Whoa, whoa, whoa. You’re telling me a monster attacked you guys?” Gabriel raised his eyebrow, and stood over Marco. “It was just your imagination, now seriously… where’s Juan?” Marco pulled himself up, wiping himself off. “I told you something got him. Something ---,”
AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!
A scream could be heard in the distance. Gabriel and Marco looked into the dark, shining their flashlights with open eyes.
“That was Juan…” Gabriel said quietly.
“We should probably get moving.” Marco pulled on Gabriel’s sleeve so that they could get going. Gabriel looked at Marco and nodded, as they began to walk through the forest.

Bit short but very good. There are a couple of things however. With things such as the 'CRACK!!!' then 'The sound of something breaking' You don't need to write the sound effects. Same with the scream. |
