Blane Chapter 13: The Bluffs
|
Dale drove to the bluffs and looked all over for Blane for about ten minutes before he finally found him sitting at the end of one of them. He parked and then slowly walked up behind Blane
“Blane” Dale said softly
Blane turned his head around, looks at Dale and then turned back around.
“I don’t want to talk to you.” said Blane angrily.
“That’s okay we don’t have to talk. Can I sit with you?” asked Dale
“I guess; it’s a free country.” said Blane
Dale sat on the edge of the bluff next to Blane. There were a few minutes of silence, but Dale just couldn’t sit there without trying to make things right
“Listen, Blane”
“I don’t really want to hear it Dale.” said
“Well, I’m going to tell you anyway. Nick is an ex-boyfriend of mine. He’s just really forward is all. I told him that I loved you, but he wouldn’t stop.” said Dale
“Funny, it didn’t look like you wanted him to stop.” said Blane
“I admit, that it felt good, but it’s been over a year since the last time I had sex, anything would’ve felt good. Please Blane, I love you.” said Dale
“I appreciate you being honest with me, but I don’t think I want to love you anymore.” said Blane
“Blane, honey…”
“No Dale, stop.”
Dale didn’t know what else to do, so he did the first thing that came to mind. He kissed Blane, and he kissed him hard. The kiss lasted a good thirty seconds.
“What are you doing?” said Blane in slight anger
“Reminding you of our first kiss; how hard and somewhat uncomfortable it was, but somehow it was still magical. We’re still magical, can’t you see that?”
“I don’t know if I want to. You really hurt me Frankie.” Blane sometimes called Dale by his middle name, Frankie which was short for Franklin.
“I didn’t mean to, he just has this hold on me that I try and try to break but I never can.” said Dale
“Not even for me?” asked Blane
“For you I would do anything.” said Dale
“It didn’t seem like that earlier.” said Blane
“That was just a momentary lapse of judgment. I should have never even let him in my room, and I realize that now.” said Dale
“If you really loved me like you say, you would’ve realized that a lot sooner” said Blane
“I have no excuses, I just came to tell you what happened and that I still love you no matter what you saw.” said Dale
After saying this Dale got up and started to walk back to his car.
“How did you know that I would be here anyways?” asked Blane as Dale was walking away.
“After you left my house, I called Mike for advice. He said that you would be here.” said Dale
“What did he say about what happened?” asked Blane
“He was actually kind of mad at me. He was really worried about you.” said Dale
“Well that’s Mike, he’s always worried about me.” said Blane
“Well, since you don’t want me here, and I’ve said what I came to say, I guess that I’ll go.” said Dale
“No, don’t go, stay.” said Blane
“But I thought…”
“Just sit down” said Blane
Dale was happy that Blane invited him to stay, but he didn’t really want to show how happy he was. They sat there not saying anything for a while, and then Blane put his arm around Dale’s waist. Dale got the chills and he did it in an attempt to warm him up.
“If you’re cold, maybe you should go, it is getting dark.” said Blane
“Nothing is going to keep me from spending time with you here.” said Dale
