I held hands with Cory while he drove and the conversation about our summer vacatino began.
"So, am I staying in your room again Sarah?" I asked.
Before Sarah could answer, Levi said, "No you're staying with me and Josh Jones."
"I am not staying at your house!" I protested.
Josh Jones said loudy, "One, we live in an apartment, not a house. Two, you will if you want to see Cory. Chris told Denise about you coming up to visit. Now your loverboy is banned from Sarah's house for the summer."
(Denise is Cory's mother. The fact that his mother hates me has never bothered Cory, or it least it's never seemed to.)
"Alright, I'll stay with you. How did you get an apartment?" I asked.
Josh shrugged and said casually, "I told my parents I wanted to move out, so they set up an apartment for me. Then Levi moved in. We split the rent. ou get to sleep in his room."
"Wait man! She is not sleeping in my room!" Levi objected.
Josh said, "Yes she is. Do it for Cory."
Levi shrugged resentfully and the matter was settled. We talked about other things and after a while we arrived in Cincinnati, Ohio. That is where the trouble started.
