Sweet Treat 10

“When you met Carly, isn’t that what YOU said?” Nick said.

“Hey, don’t get smart with me, man.” Andrew said. “Let me ask you something.”

“What is it now? No, I have not had sex with her yet.” Nick sighed.

“Yet?! You bastard that is a never! Anyways, my question is: Do you really want to hurt her? Just like you did with all the other girls?” Andrew stood up and looked down at him.

“No, I do not want to hurt her. I’ve only known her for three days and I like her more than I ever liked anyone! What does that tell you?”

Andrew seemed to consider that answer from Nick before saying, “It tells me that if you hurt her, at any way at all, there’s a lot of people who loves her that can kick your sorry ass.”

“That’s not going to happen, Andrew. Trust me.” Nick replied and stood up, too then walked up to the girls. (That’s what he says NOW.)

“Hey guys, want to go get ice cream at Sweet Treat?” Nick asked them when he reached them.

“Sure!” They all said in unison.

Bridget pulled him away and spoke in a very low voice, “Are you and Andrew okay? I saw you guys talking and it looked serious. I he said anything to you, I’m sorry I--”

He shut her up with a kiss on her soft lips. “He didn’t say anything, Bridge. Let’s go, okay? What ice cream do you want? My treat.”

They all walked together out of the park, leaving Andrew to carry the basket.


At Sweet Treat, Andrew and Bridget got a banana split that they shared, Maddie got a Blizzard (Yes, the ones like in dairy queen (: ), and Nick and Bridget just got a smoothie. Pookie, he gets doggy food. Yum (:

They all talked together and Bridget almost choked when Nick put his hand on hers. He gave it a squeeze and move his hand up to her knee. She put her hand on his and squeezed.

They smiled at each other and Andrew eyed Nick. Pookie demanded attention and jumped on Maddie’s lap. “Pookie!” she laughed.

They all went home after finishing their Treats and went their separate ways to each others houses. Nick stopped Bridget.

“Why don’t you come over? It’s still early.” He asked her.

Bridget looked up at Carly and Carly winked before pulling a complaining Andrew into the house. “Sure.” Bridget smiled.

Her, Nick, and Maddie went to the backyard. Maddie played with Pookie while Nick and Bridget laid on the grass and watched them.

“Did you have fun today?” Nick asked. He flipped over to his stomach and used his elbows to sit up a little and look at her face.

“Yes, I did. Thank you for buying ice cream.” Maddie screeched when Pookie jumped on her and licked her face.

Bridget stood up and laid back down, this time her head was right under Nicks’ right between his elbows while her legs where on the other direction.

Nick lowered his head and kissed her forehead. Then her eyes, the tip of her nose. Then her lips.

Right when the sprinklers came on.
