Roxanne’s POV
Roxanne sat on her bed, in her home.
When she got off the plane, her dad was waiting for here there, along with his new girlfriend. They took her out to eat after getting her luggage and talked about what had happened. She of course, left the part about her and Trevor breaking up, him cheating, her being pregnant, getting kidnapped and getting beat and burned, and then losing the beloved baby off.
They did ask what happened to the small burned mark on her left cheek and she said she had accidentally fell in to a bon fire, tripping over shrimp buckets. They made a fuss about it for about an hour and finally calmed down when she said that she’d get it checked on.
Then she was here, in her bed, all alone. She went downstairs and asked her dad if she can go to there cabin up north for a day and come back tomorrow. “But you just go here, I want to spend time with my little girl.” Her dad protested.
“Yeah, dad, I want that too but I really want time alone for myself for a day. Just to relax you know?” Her dad finally agreed and let her drive up there with his old blue Ferrari.
She drove for about an hour before arriving at the cabin. It looked exactly like the way they left it, a month before her mom died. It still had blooming flowers around the house and the lake behind it with a huge tree that had a tire swing and the woods all around it.
She went in and drop her stuff by the door. It was a two floored cabin. 5 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. One kitchen that had a joined dining room then across from that was the great room with the fireplace.
She sighed and carried her stuff to the master bathroom. She took an hour bath then slept the rest of the time.
The next morning she woke up feeling more depressed. She ate a big breakfast silently then put on a skirt and a lime green Disney land t-shirt. She instantly started crying, remembering the stuff she and Trevor did at Disney Land. She walked through the backdoor and sat on the tire swing, swinging herself silently then she saw something shimmer through the morning suns light.
She got up from the tire and walked over to a cherry blossom tree that had a long branch extending towards her. She held up her hand to catch the small glimmer and felt something cool hit her palm. She opened her fist and stared. It was a necklace. A silver necklace that had the shape of Saturn and the ball in the middle of the ring had little diamonds scattered all around it.
“Hope you like it.” Said a voice behind her. She turned around and gasped. “You left it they day before you got kidnapped at my suite. I found it this morning. I want to give it back to you.”
