"Adison. Let's go!" Her mother yells from down stairs.

Going back to her Grandpa's farm every summer was what she looked forward to through the entire year. Just to get away from the city noise. The lights. The people that walked up and down the streets acting like Untamed Mustangs, doing as they please... with not a care in the world.

"Adison!" Her mother peaks into her room. "Did you hear me?"
"Yeah. I'm just finishin' up my packin'"
"Hurry up. You know your father not to be a patient man."

As her mother rushes back down the stairs, she walks over to her desk and opens the drawer. She moves a few notebooks out of the way and grabs a small chain with a ring dangleing from it and stuffs it into her jacket pocket.

"Adison!" Her mother yells again.
"Comein'!" She grabs her heavy bags and drags them down the stairs.
She stops and smiles at her mother when she reachs the bottom, noticeing the worried look on her face.
"Ma'.. It's only for a few months. I'll be back home. Don't worry so much about me. Okay?"
"It's not you I'm worried about. It's your Grandpa."
Adison giggles, "Oh, you always thought he was a crazy old man."
"Just like your father." She smiles while rubbing her hand across her face.
"Just like Pa." She sighs while hugging her good-bye.
"Call when you get there."
"I will." Adison walks down the porch steps slowly.
"Drive safe!" Her mother yells from the front door to Adison's father.
He grabs Adison's bags and puts them into the back of the truck while tieing a rope around them to secure them tight.

He opens the door, gets in, and slams it shut.
"Ready?" He asks with a big grin on his face.
"I'm so much more than ready." Adison smiles.
She turns the radio on while slipping her flip-flops off and puts her feet up into the car seat then roles her window down as her father pulls away from the house.
"I can't wait till we're out of this city. I hate it here. It's so noisey."
"That's what the city is, darlin'."
"Why can't I just live with Grandpa? I mean, I could transfer schools and everything. I don't have close friends here anyway. I'd fit in just fine."
"You'd never convince your Ma' of that."
"She just doesn't get me. I don't see why she needs me here with her."
"She's just not ready to let you go yet. Give her time."

 Adison looks out the car window at the railing on the side of the interstate, watching as it goes by quickly. The railing soon turns into a bob wired fence with cattle on the other side grazing. She smiles as a beam of sun light squeezes its way through the clouds above the road.
"Home sweet home." She giggles and turns the radio off.
Her father smiles while turning down a graveled road.
"Everything looks the same." She says while sticking her head half way out the window, smelling the country air that she's been longing for all year.
"Is that bad?"
"No. It's what I've been waiting for."
"Some things have changed though, Adison."
"Like what?"
"Your gandpa got about six puppies a few months ago."
"Aw. I can't wait to see em'."
"What, so they can tackle you? Three of em' are for huntin' and the other three roam out in the fields."
"Grandpa just lets em' free?"
He nods his head, "Yep, they know not to go off the property. Your grandpa has em' tamed."

Adison looks back out the window at a field at the bottom of the hill. The grass was just the perfect height. Right then, she notices people in the field. Young men.
"Pa?"
"Yea?"
"Is that field down there Grandpa's property?"
He looks down at the field and notices the young men down there.
"I think so."
"Why are they in his property?" She asks.
"I don't know. I'll ask him about it."
Adison looks back down at the field before it disapeared behind the trees.

I'll be posting chapter 3 as soon as I can.

I know that the begining of some stories might be a bit boring, but please just hang in there for me. I'm trying to start the story and place everyone in it the way I want them to be placed. That's why it took me awhile to get this chapter out. By the way, I'm not trying to keep my readers waiting for a long time, even though that may be what it seems. It just takes me awhile to get a chapter out because I don't want it to be sloppy. Plus, I have people wanting me to read their stories. Yes, I do read the stories that people ask me to read if I have time. I usually don't post a comment unless I have a strong opinion on the way that person wrote it.
