Allie woke up a few hours later. She felt the blanket over her body and thought, "I didn't cover myself up."

She was a little confused, but she probably covered herself up but just can't remember. Anyway, she folded the blanket back up and placed it at the end of her bed. She whiped her eyes then went down stairs.

Neither of her parents were home yet. She walked into the kitchen to get a drink of water. She gets glass then fills it with water from the sink. She takes a few sips then sets it on the counter. She walks back up stairs to do her homework.

When she gets in her room, she picks up her bag and sits it on her bed. She walks over to her desk and picks up all the papers on it.

She gets her Science book out of her bag, grabs the first peice of paper on top, then starts writing. After she finished her section reveiw questions, she puts her book back in her bag then gets out her history book. She goes to reach for another peice of paper, but instead.. finds a folded peice of paper that says Allie on the front of it with a heart below it.

She picks it up and unfolds it.
She reads:

Dear Allie,

             I don't have everything. As a matter of a fact, I don'thave anything.. except a dream of a better day. And you help me find my way. Being a man, I am sure I'll make mistakes. But to keep you I would do all it takes. And if it meant my love was really true, I'd gladly die and watch over you. I wish you knew how much I cared. You'd see my love is true by the life we shared. Even if you changed your mind and said our love was a lie, I'd want to die, continuously cry, and still.. I'd love you.

          Allie, I love you so much. Please, just please, after you
          read this.. come down to the beach. I'm there right now
          waiting for you. At this very moment, I'm thinking about
          you. I'm tired of not being with you. Tired of not being able
          to kiss you and hold you every day. I miss you. I need
          you in my arms again, Allie. Please, come down to
          the beach. I love you so much, Allie. I'm sorry for the
          things I ever did to you, the things that hurt you.

She folded the note back up and thought things over. Suddenly her mind went blank. "How did he get the note in my room?" She thought to herself.
"He had to of came in my house and in my room to put it there."

She held the note tightly in her hand and stormed out of her room and down the stairs. Stomped out of the front door and filled the outside air with her anger.

She raged down her street. Across the main road.. she didn't care if there were cars going by. She made it by the road alive though. She reached the stairs and stopped.

She looked down and saw Nick sitting in the sand looking out at the water.

She stomped down the steps. "Nick!"

Nick glanced around and saw Allie coming quickly down the steps with the note in her hand. He stood up and walked towards her slowly, smiling.

He suddenly sees the serious expresstion on her face.

"Allie.."

She reaches the bottom of the steps then stomps across the sand closer to Nick.

"Nick, what the fuck is your problem?" She yells.

"What?"

"You can't just come into my house like you live there! Are you crazy?"

Nick's heart dropped. He thought about how stupid he was that if he left the note in her room, it would show that he was there.

"Allie.."

She reached him then yelled at him some more. "No, seriously Nick! What is the matter with you?"

"Look, I'm sorry, Allie. But you just have to stop being pissed...." He started.

Allie cut in and slapped him across his face, forcing his head to turn away from looking her it was so hard. "No, Nick. Shut up. I hate you. You think that your making things better, when the truth is you're just making everything worse!" She fell to the ground with her face in her hands and started crying.

Nick looked down at her with one side of his face red from the anger she had put into the slap.

"I hate you so much, Nick." She cryed softly.

Nick sat down slowly beside her and said, "I know you do." He placed his hand gently on her back and rubbed back and forth. "I love you though."

She kept crying, trying to not listen to a word he was saying.

"There's not anything is this world that can stop me from loving you. Did you know that?" He moved closer to her.

Allie nodded her head, knowing that he always would love her and she had no control over it.

"I'm sorry, Allie. I'm sorry, I broke into your house. I'm sorry I hurt you. I'm sorry you hate me." He continued to rub her back. "But I'll never be sorry that I'm in love with you. Never."

Allie raised her head up and layed it down on his lap and closed her eyes.

Nick looked down at her and ran his fingers through her hair and smiled. "I love you."

She opened her eyes and looked up at him. He took his other hand and whiped some tears away from her eyes.

"I'll always love you." He added.

She sat up, whiped her eyes, turned her back to him and looked out at the ocean.

Nick scooted over closer to her, widened his legs on each side of her and huged her tightly from behind.

He sat his chin on her shoulder and said, "I really needed this hug from you."

Allie layed her head back and closed her eyes. Nick leaned back and supported himself by putting both of his hand in the sand behind himself and locked his arms.

Allie leaned back too, while laying her back on his chest. Nick kissed the side of her head then rested his cheek in the same spot.

They layed there for a few minutes relaxing, and enoying the moment of them not fighting.

Allie sat up and took her shoes off then stood up and started walking down the beach.

Nick stood up and walked behind her slowly. He wondered what she was doing, thinking about, and where she was planning on going. He didn't ask her, what ever became of her became of him.

He started walking faster so he would be right beside her.

She was looking at the sand as it went between her toes with each step she took. Nick moved closer to her and bumped his hand against hers. But instead of her holding his hand, she crossed her arms.

"Where are we going?" Nick asked.

"We are going no where. I, on the other hand, am walking down the beach."

"Allie.." Nick said while standing in front of her, forceing her to stop walking. "I'm sorry, okay. I'm sorry that you hate me. I'm sorry that you're pissed. But will you please just give me a chance to make things better? That's all I ask of you. Please." he begged.

Allie laughed. "And what do you plan on doing?"

"I don't know." He said. "I guess I'll just have to figure that out."

"No seriously, Nick. What do you plan on making better?"

"Allie, I may not be the best guy in the world in your eyes right now, alright. I may not even be the best human being in the universe at all. I can't make the best words come out right the way I want them to either. I'm just trying to find my way in life like everyone else. So to me, you are my way in life. And you have no clue how much you've effected my life. Yea, in a very big way. I'm not perfect, Allie. So I can't make you love me. But I could probably help if you'd let me."

Allie didn't say anything.

"Allie?"

Allie walked around him, down the beach further.

"So you're not even going to say anything?" Nick followed behind close.

Allie felt a rain drop hit her face. She looked up and just seconds after, it started pouring down rain. She stopped walking and looked around to see that Nick stopped walking too.

Allie turned back around and ran to a palm tree that was close by. Nick followed her and stood close to her and started laughing a little bit.

"What are you laughing at?"

"The rain."

"What's so funny about the rain?" Allie grinned a little.

"Nothing." He smiled.

"No, tell me."

"I will if you agree to something."

"Oh no. I'm not agreeing to anything."

"Fine. Don't agree. I don't care." He smiled again.

"What would you want me to agree on?" She asked.

"You have to agree on letting me explain what happened that night when you saw me with Megan. And you have to let me take you any where I want while I tell you."

"I don't think it's worth knowing what's so funny about the rain."

"Fine, I won't tell you then."

"Fine, I agree." She gave in.

"Finally." He laughed.

He picked her up and ran out in the rain.

She screamed and yelled, "Nick this wasn't apart of the agreement!"

He just laughed and ran down the beach with her body pressed so close against his.

"Nick put me down!" She yelled.

He just held her tighter and laughed. He finally made it to the stairs and rushed up them. When he got to the top, he stopped. Allie pushed at him and got him to let go. When she stepped on the ground. It was filled with water.

She looked down, frightened. She looked around and the streets, roads, and sidewalks were being flooded quickly. She jumped up into Nick's arms and said, "Don't put me down!"

"Oh now you want me to hold you." He laughed.

Nick walked across the street slowly. He could barely see his feet. The water was only to his ankles, but it was very smokey.

He stepped up because the sidewalk was right in front of him. He could see his feet perfectly now.

He started to put Allie down.

"What are you doing?" She asked.

"You don't want me to put you down?" He asked.

"I told you not to put me down." She smiled.

Nick smiled back and held her close.

I'm tired so I'm going to go to sleep but
I'll try my best to write part 23 tomorrow
