Was he seriously going to talk to her. Allie of course thought she was seeing things.

"Hi.." Nick said when he got close enough to her.

Allie stared at him for awhile, not saying a word.

"Can I sit down?" He moved closer to a chair and stood near it waiting for her approval.

She still didn't say anything to him.

"Allie?"

A little grin appeared across her face. "Sure."

Nick smiled and sat down in a chair. He waited awhile to say anything and stared at the sand then looked at her. "How have you been?"

"I've been good."

"That's good." He leaned back in the chair and relaxed.

Allie nodded her head then looked away from him out at the ocean.

"Uhh, I guess you've heard, that me and Megan are dating?" He asked hoping she already knew.

"Yea, I've heard about that."

Nick watched as she couldn't even look at him. He had a feeling that she really didn't want him to talk to her. But maybe he could change that.

"Allie.. are you even going to look at me?"

"I don't know."

"Are you mad at me or something?"

"I don't know, Nick."

He stopped talking for over 3 minutes.

Allie finally looked at him.

Nick was staring at her. "I miss you."

"Why are you even talking to me?"

"Because."

"Because why?"

"Because I just want to, because we havn't talked in, what.. a month ever since you broke up with me. I miss you, Allie. Why is that so hard for you to understand.?!?!" Nick yelled a little bit.

Allie gave him an awful look then quickly got up and started walking to the steps to leave the beach.

He got up and followed her. "Ok, I'm sorry. Yelling isn't good to start out talking to you again."

She just kept walking. Not even looking back at him.

"Allie?"

She started walking faster, just trying to reach the steps.

"Allie, come on."

"Nick! Oh My God! When will you understand that I'm tired of seeing you, that I just can't stand to be in the same room as you. And no matter how hard I have tried to get you out of my head, you always find a way to pop back in. I don't want to have anything to do with you. Breaking up with you was the best thing for you and me. Look where it brought you, you're happy now, you have a girl friend. You're life is perfect. Don't worry about me, Nick. I can fix my life on my own. I don't need you in it anymore. You're just going to make it worse than it already is!" She yelled.

She started running up the steps. She got half way in the middle when she felt Nick grab her arm.

"Allie, no.. I can't just let you walk away like this. You can't just do that. But, what about you.."

"What about me?" She yelled.

"Are you happy? I mean I could tell that you were happy when you and I were together. I just have to know."

Allie shook her head and thought of Nick as crazy now for still careing.

"Allie.." He continued. "Are you happy?"

"Yes." She lied.

Nick didn't say anything. Of course he knew she was lieing. He could see it on her face. "Are you sure?"

"Yes, Nick.. I'm possitive."

"So, you really don't want me in your life anymore?"

"Yes."

"Why not?"

"Because."

"Because why?"

"Because I said so!" She yelled in annoyance now.

She shrugged his hand off of her arm and started up the steps again.

"Allie!" Nick called out.

She got to the top of the steps and looked back down at him.

"I'm sorry."

She stood there for awhile, wanting to ask him what he was sorry for. But she just walked away.

Nick watched as she disappeared.

Allie was angry with herself for not telling him that she wasn't happy. She was so sad. All of her emotions were flying everywhere. She didn't know what to say or what to do.

She crossed her arms as she walked. The sun was going down. She started to walk faster. She dreaded night time after what happened down at the beach. She hated it more when she was alone.

Suddenly she felt that she wasn't alone anymore.

She quickly looked behind herself. Seeing that no one was there she turned back around. Her heart dropped. 'No, it couldn't be him. This can't be happening.'

She stopped walking and froze.

There stood Mark. He was at the beggining of her street. Blocking her way to her house, her only protection now.

He was leaning against a tree, almost as if he was waiting for her. That thought sent chill bumps up her back. She started backing away slowly, he hadn't seen her yet.

She turned around and started to walk fast.

She started walking faster when she heard him. "Wait!"

She started running, all she could think about was that horrible night when he almost raped her.

She started to feel tears run down her face, she had a feeling she wouldn't make it out of this one with out Nick.

Mark was running behind her. Just like the night at the beach, he caught up with her. He grabbed her hand, which forced her to stop running. She started hitting him.

"Allie, stop.. let me talk to you." Mark demaned.

"No, don't touch me. Stop!" She yelled hoping someone.. anyone would hear her.

"Allie, stop, would you just let me talk to you!" He yelled and pushed her on the ground.

She just layed there looking up at him. She was shaking. She was so scared.

"Look, I told myself that I wasn't going to hurt you, I just.. I was thinking about you, and what a jerk I was that night. Can we just talk?" He said while holding out his hand.

Allie was so confused. This was Mark right? I mean, the Mark that had tried to rape her. The Mark that she and Nick hated.

No! Nick isn't in her life anymore. Maybe he can just hate Mark.

Allie grabbed Mark's hand. He helped her stand on her feet.

"Sorry, I pushed you, but you just wouldn't listen." He apologized.

Allie kept her distance from him, she didn't want to take a risk just yet.

"It's okay, I'm not going to hurt you." He told her again.

"What do you want?" Allie asked.

"I want you."

Her jaw dropped in shoke. He wasn't really saying these words.. was he?

"Allie, I've been having thoughts about you and I, I think it would work out. Don't you?"

"No." She said harshly.

"Why not?"

Was he really asking this? YOU TRIED TO RAPE HER STUPID!

"Because."

"Allie.. why not?"

"Mark, because it's you. I hate you. You tried to rape me. I want nothing to do with you!" She yelled while trying to get away from him.

He grabbed her arm. "Allie, I know.. what I did was wrong, just please give me a chance. I mean, you're single and so am I. I think we could hit it off. Don't you?"

"How do you know that?" She asked quickly.

"Know what?"

"How do you know I'm single?"

"You are aren't you? I heard it from some people."

"What if I wasn't?" She asked.

"Then I'd make sure of it that you'd be my girl friend."

Allie looked at the ground and thought about Nick for awhile. She already told him that she didn't want him in her life or wanted him to be in any part of it. So he wouldn't mind.

"So, what do you say?"

"I'll let you know tomorrow at school." She answered.

"Aww, come on, you're gonna' make me wait?"

"Yea, I'm going to make you wait."

"What's your number, I get bored at night, I might need someone to talk to?"

"You don't need my number. Keep yourself entertained by doing something."
She started walking away.

"Allie, you realize, that if I'm going to keep myself entertained, I'm going to be doing something, and you're going to be in my thoughts the whole time until I'm finished.

Allie stopped walking. 'Eghh, he's going to be thinking about me when he masterbates.' She thought.
