After thoroughly examining the room, she returned to the hall and proceeded to the second room. The inside was a little bigger than the first, but not by much. The room’s furniture was a little more luxurious than the first, but it was still just as clean. She did notice some skid marks on the floor, as if something had recently been moved. She closely inspected them but found no clues as to what it could have been. A few more minutes went past before she decided there was nothing in the room of importance.
Once again she returned to the hall and proceeded to the next room. But, as she got close to the final room, she noticed that there was a door to it, unlike the others which had been open. She grabbed for the handle and slowly turned the knob. Much to her surprise it was locked. She tried it again but it was firmly shut. She started to back away when all of a sudden a light flicked on underneath of the door. Liza nearly jumped in fear, and quickly drew her gun. Slowly she got on her knees and peered under the door. She couldn’t see much, even though the light was on. Just as she moved closer for a better look, a shadow passed in front of the light and stopped just in front of the door. She quickly got to her knees, but before she could get fully to her feet something slammed against the door. The door’s frame splintered slightly, showering wood fragments on the floor. Liza climbed the rest of the way off of the floor and pressed her back against the opposite wall. The door lurched again, this time damaging the hinges. Whatever was on the other side of that door was trying to get her.

As Leon ran to find Liza, he grabbed for his other Shuriken and accidentally dropped it on the floor behind him. He skidded to a stop and turned back for his lost weapon. He quickly bent down to pick it up and heard someone running towards him. He looked up and saw Liza, closely followed by something big and hairy. He started forward when all of a sudden the lights went out in the hallway. In the darkness he managed to dig through his pocket and find a small, key-sized flashlight. He flipped it on and pointed it straight ahead. In the dim light he could see Liza coming down the hall just a fast as before.

Mohno spun around, almost tripping on an exposed root. About 20 feet away stood the cloaked man who had thrown him Gyzmoh’s collar. He slowly started making his way towards Mohno. Instantly Mohno brought his knife into a ready position.
"That won’t do you any good." The man said, still coming towards him.
Right before Mohno’s eyes the leaves around the man stopped moving and began to pass right through his skin and clothes. It was as if he had become a ghost.
"Told you." The man said, beginning to laugh.
His hand went towards a fold in his long garment. Inside was a brilliant silver Rapier. He slowly withdrew the narrow blade, its edge glinting in the light filtering through the trees.
"Anything that touches my body during a Phase becomes ghost-like as well. It’s actually quite fascinating."
"You’re not the only one with a defensive power." Mohno replied.
"Yes, but you don’t seem to be glowing at the moment. Is something wrong?"
"Only for right now. But I don’t need my Coating to defeat you."
As Mohno finished this last sentence, he sheathed Tiger Claw and pulled a small knife out from one of his pockets. He carefully aimed and threw as hard as he could. The knife sailed through the air and passed right between the man’s eyes, leaving no mark whatsoever.
"Well, that didn’t work, did it?" Said the man.
He slowly walked towards Mohno, assuming an offensive stance with his Rapier. For a split second the man’s eyes looked past Mohno’s shoulder. Mohno instantly turned to find the other man, He had his right arm parallel with the forest’s floor. Slowly the sinuous strands of heat began forming along his arm, a giant, almost-but-not-quite sphere appearing in his palm. Slowly the sphere began distorting the objects around the man’s hand, until it was hard to make anything out behind him.
"A present for you, Mohno." The man said through gritted teeth.
