End of Days
Chapter 1
Today was the day! She thought to herself as she worked steadily on the large mechanical object in front of her. Pulling doll like strands of wire. Yanking here and there even as some sparks flew . Her petite and tiny hands worked with out objection . Black skin tight gloves clinging to them for protection from the firefly like rays of heat .A lift here . A Pull there. Silence hung in the room without warning. “YES!” She yelled aloud her tiny voice sounding like a child’s but holding such a firm grasp it could shake the walls around her small frame. The yell of happiness echoed in the enormous room sending vibrations through the floor and walls even the Mechanical creature showing no true expressions and holding no life as it set on a Hook suspended from the ceiling shook a little .
“I finally finished!! He is my life’s creation!! ”She yelled in excitement. A pearl white smile on her face . Her bright blue eyes moved over him like a doctor examining an open gash . As she looked into the creatures dark rim like eyes she moved a hand up to his face and lightly touched it .He looked so real. How could a creature so perfect been created by someone who was so far from that. “Are you ok Ms. Anna?”. A woman’s voice called from the dark hall. Jumping slightly she smiled .It had only been her loving house keeper Bella. The old woman was short with tight curled white and gray hair that at one time had been so full so beautiful. The locks holding that captured time within.
“Ms. Anna ? I thought I heard you call out..is everything ok?”. She caught her over protective land lady glancing around the room with curiosity. “Everything is fine Mrs. Clara . I was simple finished my Android” She spoke softly her eyes never leaving the tall figure .Sliding a hand up the back of his head she clicked a button .Without warning the creature sprang to life and jerked forward its arms and legs bound by chains and wires it rattled uncontrollably. It had bright green eyes and a remarkable face. She had done well with the making of him . “Shhhhhh…”she spoke.
