The Kiss part 6
|
Allyson was completely in shock by Vaan taking the bed and leaving her on an old, musty, hard, wooden bench. She unknowingly began sulking pitifully as she arranged the blankets on the bench in order to make it almost bearable. I would end up with the Ill-mannered rescuer. She thought irritably.
She eventually settled down and lay on her back. Sleep was coming for her whether she was comfy or not. She fell into rest quickly, lulled to sleep by the sounds of breathing in another part of the room. She always did sleep better when there was some one else in the room.
Her dreams were strange though. She dreamed of a little boy, who traveled with his mother. She had to be his mother, for they looked so much alike with their dark hair and eyes. They walked through a field of flowers on a sunny blue, sky day, and were happy and smiling, but then the mother began to go away. The little boy tried to follow her but he couldn’t. Suddenly the field caught fire and a barrier of flames separated the mother and child. The boy cried and cried but he couldn’t get near to his mother because the flames were too hot. Finally the mother disappeared completely and the boy was left alone in the fire.
