PLaying the Part of the Hostage part 7

I put on the bravest face I could find, hoping that I didn’t give myself away. I walked up the center aisle, noticing how creepy this place with its dark wood and candlelight. This guy really seemed to like dramatic elements.

I reached the place the Mr. Master-Sir was standing, and stopped. “ What was the meaning of your little out burst on stage?” Asked Mr. Master-Sir. “ Seriously? “ I asked him. “ You are holding me and my friends against our will, and you expect me to take it quietly.” A hand collided with my face. I about fell over but I clenched a near by pew for support. Mr. Master-Sir hits hard.

“ You will keep quiet and will not cause any more trouble or have any more outbursts.” Commanded Mr. Master-Sir. He grabbed my jaw and forced me to meet his fuming eyes. “ The cost for rule breaking is dire.” By that time I kinda had that figured out. He let go of my face and I stepped away from him.

“ Dimitri!” called Mr. Master-Sir. I had forgotten about the young man in the front pew. “ Show her to the door.” And with that Mr. Master-Sir turned his back on me and went up onto the stage exiting from a door from there.

The young man named Dimitri stood up and took my arm in his. Which was incredibly awkward, cause right then, the last thing I wanted was to be skipping along merrily arm in arm with some strange guy. I had just gotten smacked fro crying out loud.

“ You vere very foolish,” Dimitri spoke with a heavy German accent that made me want to laugh, but I had to stifle my own desire. I had no desire to get hit again. “ brave, “ he added, “ but foolish.”

I looked up at him, seeing his chestnut hair and blue-ish-green eyes. I wondered how he got here, and why he was so close to Mr. Master-Sir. “ Why do you not cry like all the others?” He asked me suddenly half way down the center aisle. I really wished he’d let go of my arm. “ Cause I shouldn’t have any reason to, because I shouldn’t even be here.” I said fiercely. Dimitri rolled his eyes at me. “ You Americans are sure proud.” I couldn’t’ help but smirk. Its true. America is the most privileged and spoiled country in the world. We’re all just naturally stubborn I guess.

“ We have free will.” I said. “ We don’t like being caged in, or being told how to do things.” Dimitri was silent and said no more. It was like I wasn’t interesting anymore, which was perfectly fine with me. He led me too the door and released my arm from his. “ Good evening Anna.” He said before walking away. “ Right.” Was all I muttered in reply. Who do these people think they are?  I thought.

At the moment all fear was gone and was replaced by irritation and anger. I would not be silent. I would not follow orders.  I would free myself, my friends, and everyone trapped in this horrible place. Mr. Master-Sir has picked on the wrong person.

I went out the door of the sanctuary, seeing the faces of my concerned friends, only enforced what I had already decided. We needed to get out of here. We just had to find a way.
