The New Breed Part 12

Moonrise woke up early the next morning hoping to seek off to see Kraven before Midnight got up. When she safely got out of the house, she took off. After nearly five mintues, Moonrise arrived at Kraven's place. She walked up to the door and knocked on it, praying that he was up this early. When Kraven opened the door, he motioned Moonrise inside.

"Let me guess, you're worried about Midnight's transformation? Yes, I noticed it too. I did some research on it and you won't believe what I found out."

Moonrise was shocked on how quick he could pick up on something and diagois the problem. She was glad that he had done the work instead of her, then Midnight night have thought something was going on.

"By the way, Midnight doesn't know I'm here. She can't know I was here. She'd go crazy."

"I understand. You might want to sit down for this news. This is pretty big."

Moonrise started to worry,"As long as it isn't life threatening we can get through it."

"Well I hate to say this but, Midnight's transformation had New Breed written all over it. She looks like the first ever New Breed leader, except she's a girl. If she doesn't learn to control her new found powers, things could get really crazy."

"Well you need to come with me to tell her. I'd rather you tell her since you know more about it."

"Alright then let's go" Kraven shot up out of his seat and flew out the window before Moonrise could say a word.

"Hey Kraven! What are you doing here this early?" Midnight's face was glowing since she had just gotten out of the shower. When Midnight saw Moonrise behind Kraven, her expression harden. Midnight turned away, afraid of why he was here with her.

"Midnight, it's not what you think. Kraven and I were worried about your transformation. It isn't normal. Tell her Kraven I just can't..."

Kraven nodded,"We've discovered that you are a New Breed vampire. Your transformation clearly gives it away, which is why Somoleon will come after you even more once he's discovered you've been changed." Just then the wall opposite from them exploded and Somoleon flew out of the dust. Kraven jumped out infront of Midnight, snarling at him.

"My precious Midnight has become full vampire at last! I'm so happy! Now if this thing would move out of my way we could finally be together, just like you said you would."

Kraven nearly fell to the floor at those words,"Liar! I know Midnight and she would never run off with the likes of you!"

Somoleon knocked Kraven to the floor. He had caught him off guard. Somoleon out stretched him arms and start towards Midnight. Midnight slapped him clear across the face,"Don't touch me! We still have a score to settle, or have you forgotten?"

Midnight felt that same swell of power she felt yesterday starting to gather in her fingers. And out of no where she started thinking about the damage fire would do to Somoleon. As she lashed out her hands towards him, white hot flames shot out of her fingers and nailed Somoleon right in the face.

Somoleon screamed as the flames pierced his skin, writhering in agony, Midnight saw her chance to attack once more. This time she concentrated on ice, and flicked her wrist towards him once more. The large ice crystals didn't miss as much as the fire did. One ice crystal came dangerously close to his heart. Beofre Midnight could get another shot at him, Somoleon chanted something in a language Midnight couldn't understand and vanished. After a few moments when see was sure he was gone, Midnight took off towards Kraven's side. Kraven looked pale and felt cold at Midnight's touch. Then she started crying, fearing Kraven dead.
