The New Breed Part 11

Midnight grabbed Somoleon by the throat and slammed him into the ground. With amazing strength, she grabbed a picket out of a nearby fence and jabbed it through his heart. A smile curved across Somoleon's face as he closed his eyes and disappeared from underneath Midnight.

Midnight could hear his faint cold voice whisper into her ear,"You didn't kill me sweety. You just bought me some more time. You WILL be mine Midnight, this I swear to you." Midnight felt sick to her stomach at the words repeated through her mind. Moonrise was too shocked to even move. This side of Midnight was unusual, even though they hadn't known each other long.

Moonrise acted out of impulse and blurted out,"It is hard for me to say this, but you need to become a vampire. Somoleon is a strong vampire, I can tell that myself. But I can't change you, well I don't have the heart at least. Let Kraven change you, I trust him more than anybody at the moment with my sister." Midnight was shocked. Moonrise had stated clearly in the beginning that she would let absolutly no one change her. She must have come to her senses. I'm glad she's think about my safety rather than her wishes. Her and I both know this is for the best.

Midnight nodded,"You go ahead back to the house. I'll tell Kraven to change me and then I'll fly home." Moonrise agreed and set off towards the house, worried about her sister the whole way home.

"So you met Somoleon? And now your sister wants me to change you into a vampire that way you can defend for yourself? Your sister is a smart one, she is."

Midnight nodded,"So how am I going to be changed? Will you draw my blood from my neck like the legends say?"

"Yes, that one legend is right luckly. Now it will sting a little but as soon as you are fully turned, it will stop hurting. Please tell me when it stops hurting or it can kill you." Kraven got up from his desk and walked over towards Midnight and grabbed her by her arms. Midnight assured him with her eyes that she was ready. As soon as she gave him the signal, he took the plunge. He drank just long enough to turn her into a vampire. When he broke away, he stepped back and let her change.

Midnight thought her whole body was being stabbed by thousands of tiny needles. Midnight's hair turned an even purer black than it was. Her innocent blue eyes turned into pools of pure blood. Instantly her clothes transformed as well. Jeans turning into black leather pants, her shirt turning into a red and silver swirl, and a long black cape flowing past her waist nearly dragging the floor. Kraven was puzzled on how she transformed so easily. His transformation nearly killed him, but she didn't need to know that.

"How do I look?" Midnight posed, licking her fangs,"Thank you so much Kraven!" Kraven was shocked when she hugged him on an impulse, but he was glad to see her happy. Midnight then opened up his window behind his desk and jumped off. Midnight flew all the way home as promised. When she opened the door, Moonrise was right there to greet her.

"Oh my gosh! I love the look! It's so...unusual! My sister a vampire!" Moonrise can't believe she actually did it. But something about her apperance was not normal. She had never seen such a despressing apperance on a vampire like that except on the history books. Kraven must have noticed this too. I'm gonna go see him tomarrow to see if I should be worried about this. Midnight felt something she had never felt before. I can't explain this feeling. It's like I have emence power inside of me that I can't control. I feel it swimming inside of me, flowing through my veins. And yet, it feels like I was meant to be this way. Is this normal?
