The New Breed Part 10

"Three hundred years! And after three hunderd years we come along and everyone we incounter says that we are apart of some huge prophesy! I have just found my long lost twin sister and my biological parents have been kidnapped two days ago! Now what? Is there ANYTHING else we should know before we go off and risk ourselfs to bring back this historical breed of vampires?" Moonrise shouted in frustration. Midnight was surprised at the outburst.

"Moonrise calm down! I know this is a lot to take in at the moment but this will all be over as soon as we start. Trust we WILL get through this. And we WILL get through this together, no matter what," Midnight consulted her sister. This is rediculous! Of all times to be freaking out she choses now! What happened to my strong vampire sister that I first met?

"I see you have already discovered the enemy. The man that kidnapped your parents was the leader of the revolt that killed the New Breed the first time. His name is Somoleon. He is a very bad man. He plays dirty to get what he wants. Don't fall for his tricks." Kraven interupted. Midnight was curious about that name. She had heard it somewhere before.

"Hold on. How old was he when he turned? I've heard that name before, and recently too." Kraven's face had a look of pure horror at Midnight's words.

"Midnight, this is serious. I don't know how old he was but I know his mortal nickname is Shean......"

"OH MY GOD!!!!! Not Shean no anything but him!!!!!" Midnight broke down in the middle of office. Not Shean, not my Shean. He was my friend, my consult, my refuge when things got tough. This can't be the same Shean!

"Midnight! Kraven you don't realize what you just said. Shean is her best friend. He knows EVERYTHING! He was with Midnight when I reunited with her."

Kraven's expression had worry written all over it,"That isn't good, not good at all. Midnight, come here." Kraven out stretched his arms and Midnight did what he told her. Kraven embraced her and craddled her like a baby.

"It's ok Midnight. He is good as degiusing himself. There is no way you could have known. You found before things got out of hand. That's the main thing." Kraven's expression had soften as he whispered thos words to Midnight. Why is he so sympathetic? I never thought he had a soft side. But oddly this feels right. Midnight snuggled in closer to Kraven's warm body. Moonrise was surprised at what she was seeing. Moonrise snickered,"Midnight's got some 'splainin' to do!"

"You like Kraven! Admit it!" Monrise teased Midnight as they were heading home. Midnight felt her face turn hot.

"I don't like him THAT way if that's what your thinking. He was just comforting me when I needed it." Midnight was praying that she would buy it and leave it at that. But unfortunatly, Moonrise wasn't about to give up.

"C'mon Midnight you can tell me ANYTHING! We're sisters for pete's sake! I promise whatever is said is strictly between us. Nothing crossed," Moonrise held up her hands to prove her point.

"I'm still debating on whether I like him or not.But there was something there earlier. It felt right. It was like I was where I needed to be. Now I have this empty feeling that won't go away. I've never felt like this before."

Moonrise smiled. She knew exactly what was going between them.

"Moonrise! Up ahead! I sense something. It's a bad vampiric auror, it might be Shean!" Midnight pointed about a mile up ahead. Moonrise saw it too. The closer they got, the more and more Midnight's heart broke. She knew it was Shean. When his face came into view, Midnight's pain turned into anger.

"Shean you bastard! How could you betray me like that? Why did you take my parents. I'M GONNA KILL YOU WITH MY OWN HANDS FOR ALL THE PAIN YOU'VE CAUSED ME!" Midnight literally flew and knocked the shocked Shean five clear feet. When he got back up he laughed as he wiped the blood from his face.

"Where is this side of you coming from? I've never seen you like this. It's a complete turn on," Shean started walking back towards Midnight," You know me as Shean. But since you know the truth, you can call me Somoleon, my birth name. Don't worry your parents are fine." Midnight's rage completly changed her. Moonrise was scared of Midnight. Never had Midnight EVER been this way in her life.

"You disgust me! You're trying to flirt with me at a time like THIS? You are a sicko. I'm glad I never had deep feelings like that for you, it would have made what I'm about to do even harder........"
