Walking down the hallway of her school, Midnight stood out from the crowd. Being one of the only kids that didn't see the world through preppy exspectations, others saw her as an outsider. She couldn't help it that her parents were lovers of the night, or that they moved there just two years earlier. And just turning thirteen doesn't help either.
"Hey freak, got anythink new we can laugh about?" Matt, king of the preps, nickered.
"Just that your face looks like the bride of Frankstien's sister just getting a face-lift gone horribly wrong"
"Nice one Midnight! I totally agree!!" Midnight's best friend Shean replied.
Matt's faced looked redder than a beet. He walked off as he motioned his companions to follow him. Midnight and Shean laughed as they opened their lockers.
"Hey Midnight, got any plans for Saturday?"
"Nah why you ask?"
"I was wondering if you'd like to come over to my place, mom's been asking about you"
"Ok I'll ask my parents but I know they'll say yes, so count me in" Midnight rsponded.
**RING**
"See ya later Shean!"
"Mk Midnight, Later"
Midnight sat down just as the teacher, Mr.Marley started talking about how close it came to the big test.
"I know it's almost summer but doesn't mean you need to slack off from studying. The test if only three days from now and then......"
Midnight never paid attention during Mr.Marley's long speeches. She always stared out the big class window. But as she atched theworld pass by, she saw something that she didn't usually see this time of day. Someone, a girl, looking shockingly similar to her in black clothing by the window. Midnight sat up straight and took a good long look at her. This girl seemed different, yet she felt like she knew her somehow. Midnight made it her number one priorty to find out who this mysterious stranger was.

"Hey Midnight is anything wrong? Is somethng on your mind?"
Midnight snapped out of her thoughts and smiled,"No Shean I'm fine"
"Ok just asking"
"I saw this girl outside the window in Mr.Marley's class that looks almost exactly like me" Midnight blurted out.
"Ok wasn't expecting that but ok. So tell me this, what do you mean by almost?" Shean asked shocked but puzzled.
"Well she was wearing dark clothes, had purple streaks in her hair and oh yeah, she had fangs"

ooooo....me likey the fangs and streaks....in 5th grade i had not so shy violet streaks in my hair. no lying ask erika! Great story!! |
