The two childhood friends sat in a comfortable silence, each thinking about the past, being happy to be reunited after over a year without any sort of contact with each other at all.
Was that a hint of green, creeping along her pale cheeks? he thought, looking at his friend, worrying immensely, for she hadn't looked that pale since the first day he met her..
Coincedentally enough, she was reliving it herself, comparing her current distress to those earlier years, so long ago now.. His face swimming into view, the first beacon of light ever to grace its warmth upon her..

Yes, teeny tiny, but ya see, not doing it by chapters, after about.. two or three more installments I might be ready to reorganize it and arrange it into a full chapter. These installments are simply segments, seperating different people (just the two right now) and their thoughts. :) As usual, suggestions.. please. I'm so glad my writer's block went away, but I feel it attempting to find its way back into my head :( |
