The Insomniac Mind
|
A dull ache echoes throughout the empty spaces of the cave like mind, and stalagmite thoughts cling hard to their unique surrounding. They shift and contort into snakes of many fashions, slithering around in the damp cool cave, disturbing the pools of peaceful water. Then bats fly in to add to the mess, unable to use their echo-locative methods to find that which to cling to in substance. With so much going on, how is the cave expected to sleep as a winter begs for the ice to form and rest to take over from the exterior entrance. This source of light and hope begs for sleep, which escapes as the night falls.
