Angel pushed him away, fighting the urge to slap him in the face. Alex began to apologize, Angel finding it hard not to believe him.

 "I guess I was saying thankyou...."

 She laughed and shook her head, he was as crazy as ever.

 "Well, your welcome...."

 They stood silent for a moment, Angel wondering when she should leave; Alex was looking at her like he used to when they started dating. She looked at the clock and she sighed.

 "I guess I should be going, there's church tonight and I got to get ready.."

"So soon?"

"I'll come back, I promise."

 They hugged, Alex wishing she wouldn't go. She walked outside, calling Gabriel to come for her. She sat down on the bench outside. As Gabriel pulled up in front of the building she was relieved. She got in the car and kissed him on the cheek. He looked at her funny but drove off.

 "So how'd it go?"

She put her bag down and sighed.

"Ok..."

 "You sure? You seem funny."

"No..I'm ok, I promise."

"He didn't touch you right?", Gabriel said now standing next to her, looking into her eyes. She couldn't lie to him. It's not like she did anything.

"No...I mean...like...no, but I guess you can say yea.."

 Gabriel looked at her not sure if he wanted to be angry or if he wanted to laugh.

 "Ok...What happened?"

"Well, we talked for a while and all, he started crying and I told him it would be ok. I was hugging him and he pulled away. He looked like he was about to say thankyou and he...."

"What Angie?", Gabriel said trying not to sound annoyed.

"He kissed me! I swear I didn't kiss him back, I pushed him away so fast, I promise. I wanted to hit him so bad but I didn't because he said he was saying thankyou and I promise I didn't like it, please don't be mad!!"

Angel breathed in and sighed, Gabriel bursting into laughter. She looked at him confused.

"You're not mad?"

"Are you kidding me? That was the funniest thing you have done! You talked so fast! Did you really think I'd think you cheated on me?"

She nodded. He smiled and kissed her, Angel feeling her knees get weak...O I love it when he does that.....

Gabriel hugged her, still laughing. She shook her head.

"I feel so stupid."

 "Don't be. It's ok, I'll just go with you next time."

They went to church that night, her family waiting for her and Gabriel. They all sat together, Emerie waving from her place in the choir. Angel kneeled down next to Gabriel, he was already lost in his prayer. Angel smiled and closed her eyes....Thank you Father for today...seeing Alex and all....But why did he have to kiss me! Are you laughing up there cuz its NOT funny!!..Ok maybe a little. But anyway, one more month to go and little Joseph is here. Be with us Father and help us to be better. Alex needs you way more than I do..I wish he would get better and one day find peace in you...Just like I did....

May came, Angel gettin ready for the finals and end of the year projects. She was ready for the baby, Gabriel had turned the small empty room in his place into the baby room. Angel hadn't gone back to see Alex, she simply wrote letters to him, which he responded to every time.

Angel and Gabriel walked hand in hand to class, Angel feeling pain all of a sudden. She stopped walking, Gabriel looking at her concerned.

"What happened?"

"I don't know....It just hurts...And I think....Come with me."

He followed her to the bathroom, Angel sighed with aggrevation.

"Baby, my water broke.", she said as she walked out of the bathroom. Gabriel leaning against the lockers. He looked at her wide eyed. She smiled and took his hand.

"Let's go...We don't want to have this kid here."

He sped off to the hospital, Angel was sent off to the delivery room. Her doctor showed up, he had just came back from delivering twins. As they prepped Angel, Gabriel called her parents and the school, telling them Angel was in labor. Her family was there in not time at all, waiting anxiously outside in the reception hall. Gabriel stood next to Angel, her mother walking into the room. She stood on the other side of Angel. Angel fought with the doctors about getting an epidural or any kind of needle in her. She knew she would have Joseph in no time. And by sundown she was holding tight to Gabriel's hand, the doctor's talking to her and guiding her through it. At 6:20 pm, Joseph David Rodriguez was born, crying loud and strong; 7 lbs and 21 inches long.

 Angel cried as she held her son, he was perfect. Her mother took pictures left and right, Gabriel kissing Angel as they cleaned the baby. Joseph was handed back over to Angel, her whole family coming in to see the baby and take a million pictures. Angel kicked everyone out, except Gabriel, Melissa and Blanca to breastfeed the baby. She got help from the nurse on how to help the baby latch on. She switches sides, laughing at how much he ate. When Joseph was done he fell asleep in Angel's arms, the nurse taking him from her so she could rest. She said goodbye to her family as they went home for the night.

Gabriel closed the door and sat next to her, holding her hand. She smiled and slowly drifted off to sleep. Gabriel kissed her forehead. He walked over to the nursery. He saw little Joseph asleep and he smiled.
