Angel went through the day in peace, seeing Alex every now and again. He was skipping the classes he had with her. At lunch he sat with his back facing her, his friends wondering why he wasn't in his usual jerk state. Emerie was trying to talk to him but he kept shrugging her hand off of his shoulder and telling her to leave him alone. She looked at Angel who was in perfect peace, showing her friends the baby pictures, Gabriel smiling like this was his kid. Gabriel and Angel walked to class holding hands, not caring who said what about them being together. Gabriel was proud of the girl he had by his side and Angel, there was no one else she wanted. They sat together in art class, Gabriel drawing his two angels again; the girl with white wings, a few scars here and there. She was hugging the boy angel whose wings were around hers, both of them with smiles and looking to the sky. He also added a third angel, small and with white wings, the girl was holding him.

"Is that Joseph?Aww, baby!", she kissed him and he smiled. As class ended they walked to the car, Alex watching them as he waited for Emerie. Gabriel shook his head, Alex wasn't planning on changing any time soon. Gabriel drove off, Angel suddenly remembering she had to sing that night...God why!!!...I don't know how to sing!!!.....

Gabriel handed Angel the phone as he went to work, telling her she knew what to do. She sighed and started dialing...God, I hope I'm making the right decison.....

"Daddy?.....Hey, it's Angel...I love you too...Yea, um, I wanted to know...What are you doing tonight?...."

Angel held the mic in her hands that night in church...She didn't see her father anywhere. But Gabriel was smiling and telling her to go on. The musicians waited on her call, everyone smiling. She took a deep breathe and closed her eyes..God, please......

She began to sing, nervous at first but the musicians knew that song to her surprise.

"Amarte solo a Ti Senor.....Amarte solo a Ti Senor......Amarte solo a Ti Senor...Y no mirar atraz...Seguir tu caminar Senor, seguir sin desmayar senor , postrada ante tu altar Senor, y no mirar a tras..."**

She continued to sing, her voice getting louder and stronger, she could hear Gabriel following along, and then she heard another voice, a woman's voice. One she hadn't heard in so long...Angel opened her eyes when she finished singing,with tears in her eyes she looked at her mother. Blanca was sitting beside Miguel, the both of them crying. Angel saw her brothers and Melissa....What are they doing here?.....Angel handed the mic to the Pastor as she sat down beside Gabriel, her parents waving 'hello' from where they sat. The Pastor introduced Angel's family, Angel in shock. After the preaching, Angel watched as her parents, hand in hand, walked to the altar. Melissa followed them, Dante holding the baby and keeping Michael next to him. Angel watched as they made the same prayer she had done not so long ago....So this is what you had up your sleeve?..She smiled...Thankyou.......Her mother walked back from the altar and over to Angel, her eyes red and she was looking ashamed. She hugged Angel tight, whispering in spanish how sorry she was for causing her so much pain. Angel just nodded and said it was ok, it was in the past. Her father came to them as well, Melissa and her brothers too. It was a big family reunion, and Angel couldn't believe she was under the same roof as them. They were all here, not fighting, not yelling, just hugging and saying how much they loved eachother. Gabriel had walked away, sitting with Dante and the kids. Dante was crying where he sat and was talking to Gabriel.

After church they all went to Miguel's apartment, talking and laughing....So this is what a family is like?....Angel showed her mother the pictures of the baby, her mother crying. Blanca said sorry to everyone, especially to Miguel. They actually hugged eachother in front of their kids, Angel had never seen her parents show any type of affection. They all begged their mother to make pina colada as they all talked and hung out. Blanca served them all their drinks, giving the biggest cup to Miguel. They hung out for a few hours, Angel and Gabriel leaving at around 2am, they had school the next day. Her mother told her to keep in touch and she hugged Angel like she never had before....God you're crazy......

Angel was happier then ever in school the next day, Gabriel walking around sleepily. He was up most of the night, he was thinking too much. Angel told him not to work out too much as he kissed her goodbye before he went to his weight lifting class. Alex watched them and bowed his head when Angel walked in. She was happy today and he was clearly upset. In their next class together Angel sat next to Alex, they were partners in a group assignment. He didn't look at her as the teacher handed them the outline. It was the project everyone hated the most: Sex and reproduction. They had to pretend to be parents and apparetly, the teacher still didn't take notice that Alex and Angel were no longer together. Angel went to work speedily, writing the essay in fifteen minutes. She handed it in and went back to her seat. Alex was still lost in his thoughts, Angel putting a hand on his shoulder.

"What's buggin' you?"

"Everything..."

"You can tell me you know...We have plenty of time to kill."

He nodded and opened his binder, the picture of Joseph still there.

"I kind of thought maybe after I said sorry I could have a say in all this..."

"You never asked."

He smirked and looked at the picture.

"I know I did you wrong and all but, damn. Gabriel naming him and claiming him..."

"Alex, you're never around. You were threatening me since you found out. Gabriel has more right to Joseph than you. And Gabriel didn't name him. I did."

Alex looked at her.

"You did?", he looked at her surprised,"Why Joseph? I always thought you had a different name in mind, you know, when we used to talk about kids..."

"I named him Joseph because in the Bible he went through hell and even after that he said, Although you meant to hurt me, God meant it for my good. He moved past the abuse. David because David defeated a giant. I overcame the biggest obstacle in my life. Even after what you did to me I can look you in the eye and not feel an inch of fear."

Alex looked away as she stared him in the eyes, she was piercing his very soul. Her courage was overpowering and he could tell she knew he had no control over her anymore. He didn't understand why she was being nice to him, other girls would have had him in jail. They would have had him killed. But Angel, she was patting his shoulder, telling him it was ok. He was a obstacle she had to face and she did, all that was left now was today and she was going to live it well.

**the song is called Amarte Solo a Ti. a very old song. It basically means that no matter what we will love God and follow His steps, no matter the obstacle and we won't faint in the problems we face. It's like a declaration of faith and it also happens to be one of my favorites...i think ima sing it in church tonight. lol
