''I'm going to hate it here.'' Corey complained as her dad puffed his pickup truck over the bumpy road of the country side. ''Babe you'll love living down here with your grandparents.'' Mr. Hillburn tried to reassure his daughter.

''Dad I don't want to stay down here. I want to go home.''

Mr. Hillburn looked over at his frustrated daughter. ''You are just as stubborn as your mother.'' He said smiling. Corey looked over at him and smiled back. ''She was always stubborn.'' Corey said back.

''I guess that's what i loved about her the most.'' he said. Corey could feel her eyes begin to water as memories of her mother flashed before her eyes. Her mother's laugh was pure and brilliant. Her features were beautiful and conning. She was the most fantastic thing on two legs...or at least she was.

''I miss her so much.'' Corey said. ''I know baby. I miss here too.''

Mr. Hillburn turned down a back road that led beyond a small forest into a large clearing. The sun was high in the sky and the clouds were puffy and white. Out in the fields the wild flowers swayed softly in the cool breeze.

But it wasn't these stunning features that caught Corey's attention...it was the lake. The lake was small and barely hidden but it's waters were clear and shined like silver.

''Beauty anit it?'' Her dad asked as he pulled the truck into the dirt driveway.

''It's magnificent. Exspecially that lake. It's so...so beautiful.'' Mr. Hillburn smiled. ''I use to swim butt naked in that lake.'' he said.

Corey grimaced. ''What a way to ruin the moment dad.'' she said.

Mr. Hillburn laughed. ''Sorry.''
