The dinning room was quite fancy. To be exact...it was damn fancy. A long, wooden table sat in the middle of the enormous room. In the center a pot of well cared for roses sat nestled in a glass vase. Over head a large chandelier hung exquisitly from the ceiling. ''Like a castle.'' John whispered to himself. ''Not quite.'' came a voice from behind him. John spun quickly to find Aldred standing behind him. ''Oh I didn't know you were standing there.'' John said casually trying to calm his racing heart. Aldred smiled.
''Please forgive me for my sudden intrusion, but a slight situation came about and the Mister and Misses will not be joining the two of you for dinner.'' John looked around. ''So...where's Kelly?'' he asked. Aldred smiled. ''She will be down shortly. Now please take your seat sir and dinner will be served.'' John took the nearest seat. The cushion was soft against his bottom. He smiled despite himself. ''Staying here is going to be quite to my liking.'' He said after he was sure Aldred had departed.
''I have a feeling I'll never get tired of the Holly's.'' He said briskly. ''You say that now.'' Came a quiet, shallow voice. John nearly fell from his seat as a girl, about his age, walked slowly into the dinning area. Kelly was short, with long black hair that curved around her oval face. Her eyes were drench with black makeup and her clothes were as black and daring as her attitude. ''You must be Johnathan.'' She said after a few seconds of akward silence.
John cleared his throat. ''Call me John.'' He said. Kelly smiled. Obviously her appearance had sent sudden chills down John's back. Kelly took the seat right next to John. Her arm brushed up against his. John quickly pulled his arm away. ''You seem disappointed.'' she said. John shrugged and shakily began to eat the meal that was placed before him.
The fact was...he wasn't disappointed at all with Kelly. As a matter of fact he was so appalled by her dark beauty that he couldn't bare the adrenaline that rushed through his viens. Kelly smiled because she knew it.
