''I don't know what your talking about.'' Bell said. Detective Shane sat casually on the sofa, crossing his long legs as he scribbled vigiorusly into a note pad. ''I do suppose you know Brad Marshall?'' He asked. Bell nodded. Mrs. Parker sat nervously in the corner. Bell hadn't even noticed her.
''That day when you were injured someone brutally beat Brad. He was rushed to a near by hospital where he died 13 hours later. You don't know anyone who might have had a reason to do such a thing?'' Bell quickly sat down; her legs had becoe numb and weak. Her stomach churned with the horrific possibilities. She could feel herself about to cry. ''No.'' she gasped, trying to hold back the tears. Detective Shane smiled wearily. ''Well...before I go I need to ask you one last question.'' Bell watched him as he narrowed his eyes suspiciously.
''That guy that brought you to the hospital...you know him?'' Bell shrugged. ''When I woke up he was gone.'' she said. ''Well I know him...his name is Jason Cook. You know Jason?'' Bell nodded again. ''Well I have a feeling Jason might be responsible. After all he is a regular trouble maker. Don't you agree?'' Bell could feel the anger building inside of her. ''I thought you said you had only one last question.'' Bell roared between clenched teeth. Detective Shane shivered slightly, obviously surprised by her change of mood.
''Right. Well I guess I have more questions. We've been looking everywhere for Jason. We searched his home, school, some areas around town, but we can't seem to find him. You have any ideas where he might be?'' Bell shook her head, refusing to make eye contact. ''I think it's time for you to go now Detective.'' she muttered. She could hear Shane mutter an irritated cough. ''Very well.'' he said. He got up and walked slowly to the door. He stopped and looked back at Bell. Her face was red, her hands clenched into fist, and tears bubbled in her eyes.
''You know Bell...'' he said. ''..if you ask me, I'd say this Jason guy really got in for you.'' Bell looked up at him. ''What do you mean?'' she asked. Shane smiled. ''You didn't really fall in a ditch did you? I reviewed the hospital tapes over and over again and the way Jason stormed out of that hospital was akward. You know what I think? I think Brad did something to hurt you and that upset Jason. Tell me Bell...am I right?'' Bell looked past the Detective, her eyes swollen with tears. She shook her head. ''You're wrong.'' she cried.

Bell starred out of the window. Grey clouds littered the sky and thunder howled aggresively. Bell watched the road, listened for the phone, but nothing. He didn't call, he didn't come by, he'd just vanished. It had been four days since the detective interrogated her and every since then all she wanted to do was talk to Jason.
She got up from her bed and ut her rain jacket on. She had to get out of the house, she had to get away from everyone. Her mother kept an annoyingly close watch on her, her father no longer asked her how was school, even her younger brother avoided her as much as possible. She silently descended the stairs and checked the clock; it was 9 a.m. She opened the door and quickly shut it behind her. All she wanted was to be alone.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The moist wind was exsactly what she needed. The wind circled her hair, frailing it beautifully behind her. The light rain drops felt cool and relaxing against her warm cheeks. She walked freely down the street without caring where the curvey road took her.
After about half an hour of wondering she found herself standing before the clearing where Jason had taken her. The clearing where she had almost lost her virginity and also the place where Jason annouced that he might not truely have loved her. She found herself walking through the trees heading to the field where they had laid together, in one anothers arms. She wanted to stop and turn around, but something called her deeper and deeper.
When she reached the field the beautiful daisy where gone and replaced by thick, black weeds and small mud puddles. The green grass lay limply to one side. It was a horrific sight to see. How could something so beautiful become so fragile and dirty. She looked around not knowing what she planned to find.
''Bell.'' The voice seem to come from no where, but Bell was sure of whose voice it was. ''Jason?'' she squinted into the darkness beyond a small oak. ''Bell why are you here?'' he asked angrily. Bll shivered at the sound of his cold voice. ''I don't know.'' she muttered.
