    Chapter 2: His Gift

''So what is your name?'' Simon asked, casting Lucy a side ways glance. ''My name is Ms. Crandal.'' she said smugely. Simon laughed unexpectedly. ''Do you find my name halarious?'' Lucy asked. She glanced over at Simon. His posture was straight and his chest broad and muscular. He carried her two huge luggage bags with ease.

''I don't find your name quite as funny as I find your humorus attitude. I meant what is your first name.'' Lucy bit her bottom lip; Simon had gentlely rubbed against her, sending chills of pleasure down her arm. ''Maybe I don't want you calling me by my first name.'' she responed, not looking over at him. She could feel his green eyes searching her face.

''Lucy Crandal.'' He said. He smiled triumphantly as Lucy's face clouded over with confusion. ''How did you know my first name?'' she asked hastily. Simon chuckled deeply, his smooth voice filling the empty halls. ''You could say I have gift of reading people.'' he said. Lucy turned to look at his face. His face was serious, his eyebrows arched questioningly. ''Gift?'' Lucy pressed for more. ''Yes...it's a gift.'' He said. Lucy stopped, pulling on his sleeve. ''Explain to me your gift.'' she asked, getting closer to him than nesscisary. Simon felt her getting closer and immediately felt himself get excited.

He raised her bag up and shook the name tag in her face. ''I simply read your name on your luggage...cool gift huh?'' Lucy shoved him playfully. ''Good one. I actually thought you might be some phsyic.'' she said. They started back walking.

''I am quite talented in another field.'' he said flirting behind his green eyes. ''And what field would that be?'' Lucy asked innocently. ''I'd rather not explain it. Maybe sometimes I can show you.'' Lucy smiled, obviously intrigued by his sly invitation. ''Don't trip if I hold you up to that oneday.'' she said. ''Don't worry...I want.'' he said.

''So...where is my room?'' she asked, after noticing how long their journey seemed. ''Your lucky.'' he said. ''You get the room right next to mine.''
