The next day Jason's words still burned in Bell's head as she tried concentrating on her Cornflakes. The sun was bright and the day looked perfect, but Bell knew was anything but. She still had this sick feeling in the pit of her stomach that made her want to run to Jason and just hug him forever, but her weak legs wouldn't allow her to move.
She took the first bite of Cornflakes and tried to swallow, but it wouldn't go down. She pushed the bowl away, afraid to eat anymore. Her head throbbed with questions and despair, her eye's clouded with saddness and frustration. Why was Jason so difficult?...so strange? A sudden knock on the front door sent a chill down her spine. She pushed her thoughs far from her mind before she stood up and walked to the door.
''Who is it?'' she asked, her voice weak from her lack of sleep. ''Jason.'' His voice was rich, welcoming, soothing. She pulled the door open in a rush and flew into his arms. She hugged him closely, afraid to let him go again. She took a deep breath, breathing in his masculine aroma. ''Your having a good day.'' he said, adding a little normal laugh. Bell looked into his eyes. They sparkled with life and happiness.
''It's better now that your here.'' she said. She hugged him tighter, refusing to accept that he was there, embraced in her arms, but then she felt him hug her back. His arms wrapped softly around her waist, pulling her closer. ''I wanted to take you somewhere today.'' he finally said, after an eternity of hugging. Bell finally pulled away. ''Where?'' she asked, not really caring where he took her as long as he was there.
Jason smiled. ''My little surprize.'' he said, smiling.

His old car moaned in protest as he mashed the gas, leading the car down a rough, rocky road. The sunshine was warm against Bell's skin as she stared out the window into the great valleys of trees and a long river that seemed to curve for miles. ''Where are we going?'' she asked Jason, afraid they might get lost. Jason looked over at her and smiled, his pale skin almost shining in the morning sun. ''Trust e.'' he whispered. ''I do.'' she said.
Finally Jason mashed the brake, bringing the car to a holt at a narrow path that wined deep into the mountain of trees. ''It's pretty dark in there.'' Bell said, noticing Jason getting out of the car. Jason walked around and opened her door, reaching out his hand. ''Somethings are always dark on the outside, but you'd be amazed by what you discover on the inside.'' Bell shyly reached his hand, allowing him to pull her out of the car.
''Come on.'' he said, pulling her into the trees. The path was surprisingly smooth and easy to travel on. They traveled in silence, his arm wrapped lovingly around her thin waist. She leaned against his chest, as they strolled aimlessly, feeling his hard chest rise and fall with each breath he took. His cross necklace flickered in the sunshine. ''We're here.'' he said. Bell had been so caught up in his aroma and apperance that she hadden even noticed the sunshine peeking through the trees ahead. A valley, bigger than any Bell had ever seen, streched as far as the eyes could see and was dazzled in beautiful yellow flower that waved in the breeze.
''It's so beautiful.'' she said. Jason smiled. ''I know. I've never brought anybody here before, but I don't think many people know about it. I come here often to think, dream...'' When the stepped into the clearing Bell closed her eyes, as the wind engulfed her in it aroma of fresh grass and wild daiseies.
She felt Jason press his lips against her. She opened her eyes, just as he pulled away. ''I'm sorry.'' he said, blushing. ''No...I don't mind.'' Bell said. She reached up and kissed him softly. ''I love you so much Jason.'' she moaned between kisses. ''I love you to Emily.'' Bell pulled away from the kiss in a heartbeat, her eyes wild with confusion. Jason stepped back, afraid to look into her eyes. ''I'm sorry...I...I.'' He reached out his hand, his eyes begging Bell to come closer.
Bell looked down at his arm, where he had pull his sleeve back. His arm was covered in cuts, some deeper than others. One cut looked very recent and a drip of blood still clung to the open wound. Bell took a step back, afraid to let those arms hold her again. ''Wait...'' Jason cried. ''I can explain.''
