Tess' hair kept falling in her face. She had to keep flipping her head back to keep it out of her eyes. But, she kept was typing furiously on her computer. She was IMing her friend Chelsea.

Tess sighed and leaned back in her computer chair. She really didn't want to tell Chelsea. No matter how good of friends she is with her, she just didn't want anyone to know. Everytime she tells anyone who she likes, it gets around to EVERYONE and then everyone keeps pressuring her to ask that person out. It always ends in tears or heartbreak, too.
She knew she wasn't going to tell anyone else but Chelsea, at least until she was sure she really liked Max. Because, to be honest, she wasn't really sure. She got all nervous when he talked to her and when ever their eyes met, she would feel her heart pound faster.
But, chances are, everyone probibly gets nervous when he talks to them. Well, the people who don't know him. He's really tall and has curly black hair. He's also a huge smart-ass. When he does talk in class, he's only disagreeing with the teacher. And Max always makes more sence. He's really smart, yet he's failing, just because he doesn't care.
Him and Tess don't talk much. They sort of have a different group of friends. But since Tess started staying after school for orchestra, Max and her would talk a little more. Max runs the after school orchestra program. But talking to him only twice a week after school is definatly not enough.
