Introducing Life Part 8

“So did you hear what happened Friday?” Trent broke the silence

“What?” We all kind of asked at once.

“Jon got expelled from school. That’s why he threw the party on Sunday, he didn’t have to go to school today. When he dropped me off at home last night, he told me before I got out of the car. I guess you could say, he was trying to put on a guilt trip so I wouldn’t be so upset about what happened.” Trent explained

“What do you mean he got expelled? What did he do?” asked Joni

“I guess he got caught cheating and then mouthed off to the teacher and threatened her.” Trent said

“Hah, loser!” exclaimed Joselyn.

I just sat there and listened. I didn’t know what to say, and I was still in shock after last night. I wondered again, Did Joselyn mean what she said about revenge? What would we do? I guess it will all come in time.

“Kenz?” asked Joselyn.

“Yeah?” I said

“You okay?” she asked

“Yeah, I’m fine. Really.” I said

“Kenzie, seriously, everything is going to be okay today. He isn’t going to be there to do or say anything to you.” assured Trent.

“Oh, yeah. I’m not worried.” I said even though I was. I just didn’t want them to keep worrying about me.

We arrived to school and we all started to walk to our first class. Luckily enough we all had our first class together. That’s the joy of being able to pick most of your classes at the beginning of the year. We walked in to class and we saw a few people from the party in there, they just stared at us. I could only imagine what they were thinking or what happened after I left. They all probably thought I was crazy. They probably thought I deserved it or something. A lot of people really liked Jon and would never believe he would do something like that.

I looked at Joselyn and noticed she had her phone on her desk. I text her and told her to meet me in the library. The real one. I asked the teacher if I could go to the library to finish our assignment. She said that would be fine and as I left, I heard Joselyn ask the same behind me. Easy enough, I thought to myself. As we stumbled down the halls in a playful manner and slapping each other with our hall passes, we ran across Paige. Paige is this somewhat overweight girl with bad acne. She has brown hair and green eyes. She is totally in love with Jon and she heard about what happened last night. Paige is the type of girl who thinks she needs to go on and on about a situation.

“Kenzie! So I heard you were at Jon’s last night!” Paige said

“Umm, yeah. It wasn’t a secret. I was there.” I said sarcastically

“Yeah, so I guess your hearing what everyone is saying happened then?”

“Hmm, I was there, so I’m sure I know.” I said back

“So you know he raped you?” she asked

“What?! That’s crazy talk. Your asking me if I know something that happened to me?” I laughed “Girl, you are dumber than I thought. By the way, nothing happened last night. You cant believe everything you hear.” I said back

“Well, that’s what’s going around. I just wanted to know if it was true.” she said, “And you know how much I was jealous of you two together, so…well I’m just going to come out with it. Jon and I slept together while you two were together and that’s not all. I might be pregnant with his kid. You two aren’t still together are you?” she said real fast.

“Wait! You and Jon slept together?” Joselyn said busting out laughing!

“Yea, why is that such a shocker?” asked Paige

“Wow, hmm, I don’t know, you were so stuck up his ass, it was annoying. We used to laugh at you all the time because you would trip over yourself while trying to chase him down the hallways. Oh well, sorry to hear he snatched another piece of ass… and yours at that. Seriously Paige, you need to remember who your talking to when disclosing your personal life.” Joselyn spouted harshly.

“Is something wrong Paige? Did she say to much?” I asked rudely, “She’s right, watch who your talking to when you decide to open that mouth of yours.” I said glaring into her eyes.

We began to walk away and we could tell she was still standing there. We didn’t even look back to see her face drop.

“She deserved that.” said Joselyn

“Who does that? Seriously, “Oh I heard you were raped by Jon! By the way I slept with him while you were together.” What a bitch.” I said mimicking Paige.

“Yeah except one thing you left out Kenz.” Joselyn said

“Oh and what’s that?” I said laughing

“You didn’t tell me he raped you.” she said

“That’s because he didn’t. Honest. He tried to, but he didn’t get that far, that’s why I’m very thankful of Trent. If he didn’t walk in when he did..” I began to tear up.

“Hey, its cool babe! Don’t worry about it. Trent knows how much you appreciated that. I just wanted to make sure you weren’t keeping it from me.” she said

“I would never keep that from you. I promise!” I said to her

We stuck out both of our pinkies and pinky swore, “No secrets.”
