Changing Dimensions Ch.1

The fact that he was looking at me didn't make the situation any better. There stood, the tall, muscular, pale skinned, black natural hair, Jerremy. He gazed at me for what seemed an eternity from the other side of the small cafeteria, before his attention was taken by some jock, Keith, who was a huge jerk to me twenty-four seven. Only because I was different and always thought I didn't belong with real kids. Which I don't.
"...life is a maze and love is a riddle-" Dakota, my very beautiful, and short friend, came singing with her MP3 player in hand and head phones in and dropped her books on the table. They slammed on the table which kind of made the cafetria get quiet. "...I'm just a little bit caught in the middle-" She kept on singing and headed to get food. I followed her silently, trying not to attract attention. I casually grabbed a tray and started to get food and sat down before Dakota made her way back. "...I'm a fool out of love-" She was still singing when she came. She pulled her head phones off and shoved her MP3 into her pocket.
"So, how're you and Jakey doin'?" She asked as she bit into an oatmeal cookie. "You asking about me and my boyfriend?" I asked. "Yeah? Casual question to ask." She talked with her mouth full and shrugged. "Good, I guess." I answered. "You guess? Is that possible with your guys's kind of relationship?" She asked, waving a cookie in her hand as she talked. "I mean you two are like the only lycans, in this realm, and let alone the only fire witch and ice worlock. You guys have to be pretty attached to each other..." She kept on talking. Eyes and ears were on us now. "Dakota." I whispered. "I have seen you two together, you guys are like insperable." she didn't stop. "Dakota!" I slammed my fist on the table. She quieted and looked around, "Thats enough." She sank in her seat. "Sorry."
"I just don't like it when people listen in on my life. Corazon doesn't like it either." I said as I hunched over onto the table. "Jakey is always like that. And I wasn't talking about him." She paused. I looked at her and raised and one brow. "Okay maybe I was... but where is Jakey any way?" She asked as she looked around. "I don't know. He was here this morning, but I lost his presence after third period..." I sighed. "He's like a ghost." Dakota was now munching on a brownie. "I wouldn't say a ghost." A hand appeared out of nowhere on my shoulder. I slightly inhaled the air. It was Corazon being himself. "Hey beautiful." He sat next to me. "Hey love." I kissed his cheek. "Hello, Dakota." He grinned at her as she stuffed peach slices into her mouth. "Hi Jakey." She said with her mouth stuffed and checks buldging. I giggled as some food fell out of her mouth.
The tall, pale, and slender Branden, came around the corner casually and set his bag down next to Dakota and took a seat. Dakota swollowed her food and hugged him. "Ello Kota dear." He had a strong English accent that everyone loved. "Same to you, Julia dear." He smiled. "What were you two up to?" I asked. "We were..... uh, what were we doing?" Corazon asked. "We were acting like we were arseholed and barmy." Branden and Corazon laughed together. I scratched my head. I didn't understand his British slang. Dakota leaned over to me, she must of saw my confused expression. "Acting drunk and mad." She whispered. "You weren't really drunk were you?" I asked. "Not yet." Corazon grabbed me by the waist and pulled me closer to him. I tensed. Yeah, we drank, only with each other though, he sometimes invited others. "Chill babe. No one else besides us four... Possibly Jerremy." he said. "Jerremy? Why Jerremy? He was staring at me in the lunch line." I said. "Yeah, he was." Dakota added. He sighed. "He said he didn't have any intrest in you." he growled.
"Oh he said that?" I asked. "Sure he did. If he tries anything stupid, I'll kill him." Corazon laughed. "He'll be going aginst his word." Dakota started laughing. "Vampires aren't all that reliable." She poked Brandon on the forehead. "I can be reliable... sometimes." He laughed. "So. Lets just ditch now." I suggested. "Yeah, I don't want to deal with my dark arts teacher." Branden yawned. Corazon slipped away. Going to get Jerremy, I guessed. I stood up and picked up my backpack and Dakota and Branden did the same. Corazon and Jerremy came strolling casually, with a few eyes watching in curiousity. "Lets hurry out of before we attract more attention." Corazon grabbed my wrist and pulled me out of the building with everyone beind us. I ran to his truck and threw my backpack in the back and climbed in. I hung over the edge to catch Dakota by the collar of her shirt and pull her into the back with me. Branden landed ruffly in the back causing the truck to bounce. Jerremy got up front with Corazon. Probably because he didn't want any funny business between us.
We quickly pulled out of the school parking lot and headed towards the dorms. I held Dakota to my chest because Corazon can be a really crazy driver and Branden can squeeze her to hard. And I really don't have a chest for her to squish, I'm not done growing yet. Yeah, I feel protective over Dakota, only because shes a human and very fragile. Corazon slammed on the brakes forcing me into the side of cab, but Dakota was safely in my arms. Branden was holding on the side of the bed. There were many dents in the side from us grabbing on to it a little too tightly. Yeah, Corazon is a crazy driver. But he's the only one with a vehical, so we can't complain. We pulled up into the dorm parking lot and I just threw our stuff on the sidewalk and we drove away. I started wondering where Corazon got booze this time. Fake ID? Moocher? Seduction? He's good at all of it. Especially when him and Branden work together. They get a lot.
We pulled off onto a dirt road that lead basically to the middle of no where in the woods. He parked the truck and we all get out. Jerremy was carrying all the beverages that they have manged to get. We walked in silence, saving all our stories and thoughts for when we get there. About twenty minutes passed and we were at our secret spot. There was a fire pit and some chairs set up and some empty beer bottles laying around from our last visit. Jerremy set the the small fortune in beer on a chair and we attacked it. I pulled out five bottles on my first try. I handed three of them to Dakota. She learned from the first time that she shouldn't join in on the fight for booze. "I'm not gonna drink that much." She handed me one back. I tossed it to Jerremy who was completly out of it watching us attack the box of beer like angry animals. "Enjoy it. It could be the only one you get, noob." I snickered. He just laughed and opened it up and drank it.
I only drank two beers, which I didn't read the names. We never really do unless it tastes good. Dakota drank well over her planned limit of two. Five actually. Corazon and Branden had about six. And Jerremy had more then I could count. We all laid sprawled out on the grass gazing up at the sky. "Does any one know how long we have been out here?" Corazon asked. "Judging by the moon in the sky... I'd say it's night time." Dakota's words slurred. Jerremy stood up and started dancing and singing Poker Face. "P-p-p-Poker Face!" Boy he sounded horrible. "I'm lovin' with my muffin-!" He paused and fell over unconscience. "Should we help him?" I asked. "Nah. He should be okay." Branden said.
Clouds drapped over the sky covering up the moon and stars. I sat up as the wind began to blow. I probably was the only one not drunk here. A black hole opened up in mid air.
"Hey Jakey." I said. "Yeah?" He answered. "Look." I pointed to it. "You do see it right? Am I trippin'?" I asked. "I see it alright." He was always hard to get drunk. He sat up too. I got to my feet and helped him up. Bolts of blue and red lightening shot out of the blackhole. Everyone was next to us now, grouped together watching this weird event. A GIANT flash of light blinded the woods. My eyes adjusted back to the dark. Two human like figures fell from the sky and hit the ground with a thud. If they were human they wouldn't have been able to survive that fall. They stood up and they were dressed weirdly. One looked almost Dakota's height. She had big fluffy pink hair with black and blonde tips. She was wearing white furry boots, pink fishnets, rainbow color short shorts, a half cut black and white striped tank top, a yellow boa, black fingerless gloves, had big sunglasses, a tiara, and a checkered bow in her hair. Her skin was very pale, vampire like, and big breasts. The other was dressed as weirdly. She was taller then me it seemed. She had kool-aid red hair, that was up in two buns and straight bangs that hung to the left side of her face. She was wearing what seemed like a white tube top that only covered her large breasts that had a spade on both sides, really short black shorts, fishnets that went down to her knees, had combat boots that went right below her knees, a belly button piercing, and a tattoo of a paw of some sort on her collar bone.
They jumped around each other holding hands and squealing the whole time. "Oh my god! We did it! Can't believe it! AH!" Their voices went an octive higher. "Uh, umm. Excuse me?" I stepped forward. They looked at us. "Oh shit natives!" The tall one ran behind the smaller one. "What the hell are you?" The shorter one asked as she pulled off her big sunglasses. "What the hell are you?" Dakota broke in. "Us? We're uhh-" The taller one jumped out from behind her. "Time travellers!" she said. "Yeah, that's it. We are time travellers." She agreed. "You are time travellers? Impossible." I said. "Yes, we are from the future." The shorter one said. "Whoooo." The taller one said wiggling her fingers at us. "Uh huh, right. And, what are your names?" Corazon asked. "Well my name is uhh... Jimmy! Yeah Jimmy." The shorter one said. "My name is uhhh...... well. Hey Jimmy. I seem to have forgotten my name. Time travel does that to you." The taller one nodded. "Come help me remember it." They walked a few steps away and began to mummble between themselves. "I don't buy it." Dakota said. "You're too drunk to even think." Corazon said to her. "Well, I don't either." I said. "Sounds phoney-" I was cut off. "Oh I remember! It's Muffin." She smiled. "Muffin? What kind of a name is that?" Corazon asked. "You're not from the future so you wouldn't understand." She shot at him. "Well. Muffin, and Jimmy. why are you here?" I asked. "We're here to save your sorry asses from a horrible future!" Muffin pointed at us.
"Yeah, you guys are gonna get attacked by-" Jimmy was cut off. "Hey whats that?" Muffin quickly pointed to the case of beer that Jerremy was currently hugging to his chest. "Our party shit." Dakota said as if it were the most obvious thing in the world. "Hey!" Jimmy called. "What?" I asked. "Beer." She held out her hand and smacked her palm. "Pay up." Muffin demanded. "For what?!" Branden shot back. "Hello!? We are protecting you from a horrible future." Muffin said.
"Bom bom be dom bom bom be dom-" Jerremy sat back up, took a drink from a half empty bottle. He fell back over unconscienceous. "Hey." Jimmy crouched next to him and poked him in the cheek. "He's kind of cute. I like him." She said with a wide smile at us.
