Chapter 4: The Demon inside
They ran across the empty high-way intersection and bolted passed a liquor store called Triangle. They crossed the high-way again and ended up in frount of the Napa Auto Parts.
"Faster, we're almost there." said Kaz.
"You said that five blocks ago!" heaved Antonio.
"Well sorry it's not that far. I run this evey day to get to school." panted Kaz.
"Look the Cke company is in sight." said Cam. They ran faster.
"Ah!" screamed Kaz as a creature snatched her off the ground and flew into the sky.
"Kaz!" yelled Cam.
"No!" yelled Antonio. He ran after the creature in spite of eghastion.
"RRAA!" Nick jumpped at the creature and grabed its tail feathers.
"WOW!" said Lex in amazment.
"Let me go you stupid demon!" yelled Kaz. "Or so help me I'll kill you and turn you into a pulp!"
"Raa!" Nick climbed onto the creatures head."I got him Kaz!"
"No, I do!" Kaz dug her nails into the creature's claws that were wrapped around her. All of a sudden she was a dog like creature with black fur bittting the crap out of the the arsenal creature to let her go. Nick was on the creatures head still, he was pulling out feathers. He grabed a hand full and ripped them out of the creatures head. The creature let out a loud screech of pain. It let go of Kaz then crashed into the ground. Nick hit the side walk. The creature lay motionless in the street.
"Woow...." Nick sat up dazed form the colision with the sidewalk. "Ow."
"Are you okay?" asked Lex.
"Is Kaz?" he asked
"uh.. Kaz?! Are you okay?!" called out Lex
"Depends on what okay means?" said Kaz.
"Yeah shes fine." said Lex
"Okay." Nick got off the ground.
"What was that?" asked Antonio.
"Not exactally sure." said Nick. "I dont know." Kaz got off the ground and walked to Antonio.
"Are you okay?" he asked
"Yeah. I'm fine. I just never been dropped thirty feet in the air."
"Haha. I have, it's not pleasent is it?"
"No, its not." joked Kaz. "So Nick what do we do next?" Lex and Cam starred at her. "What?"
"You? There? Warewolf? What?" said Cam.
"Gaww... See I told ya they would do that Nick." said Kaz
"Hey, it's not me., not my prob." he said
"Well you're one too so help explain!" said Kaz.
"Their your friends not mine so yeah."
"I hate you soo much." said Kaz. Nick gestured Kaz to tell the story. "Me and Nick are what you guys call warewolves okay? Well I am any way. He's a vampire."
"And how did this happen?" asked Lex.
"Long story." said Nick. "We'll tell you on the way."
"Where are we going?" asked Cam.
"... to solve our problems..." said Kaz. "Do as I say not as I do... Caome." Kaz and Nick started to walk away. Lex and Cam followed. Antonio stood there. Kaz looked at him. "Are you coming?"
"Yeah." he said "I'll catch up." said Antonio.
"Alright we'll be in central." said Kaz.
"Okay." Antonio ran into an alley. Kaz kept on walking. She didnt look back. None of them did, they all had their minds on what will happen next.
