Chapter 3: The Black Jacket Stranger No More
Kaz sat on the bench she was on earlyer when Cam and Lex were there. She had a weird feeling in her stomach. It wasnt a sick feeling but, more like a strange presence feeling. Like some one was watching her, stalking her. SHe turned around in her chair to look out side the window. Cars passed by like as if nothing was happening to them. Not noticing or even caring what will happen next.
The officer was gone at the moment so they could basicly do what they wanted to do. Nick was laying on the floor with his feet on the wall. Kaz had her hands on the window like as if she was trapped in a glass cage. She looked at the door.
"Hay Nick."
"What?" he answered
"Why dont we solve this by our selves?"
"Right now?"
"Yeah. We can easily walk out the door. Its not like the officers can stop us from leaving. And plus its gonna be a good two hours before they come back for us."
"Are you serious? No holding back or chickening out?"
"No.I feel like Im in my own prison in here. I want out!"
"Lets go" Nick got off the ground and got to his feet.
"YES!" said Kaz. She opened the door and stepped out side. "Lets go"
"Okay. We cant get caught by mom, dad, of the officers. We'll get in so much shit if we do."
"Where do we go... for now?" asked Kaz
"We go get every one." said Nick. "We cant do this by our selves."
"Lex lives across the river and Cam lives by the middle school. Which one do you want to go get?"
"I'll go get Lex. Its too dark for ya to see down in the river. Its not like I can do any better but I dont want you to get hurt."
"Alright. I'll meet you at the Coka Cola company in 20-30 minutes. Okay?"
"Okay. SHe live sout in the new housing right?"
"Yeah. Second one from the end. There should be white and blue trucks in their frount yard." said Kaz as she ran down the sidewalk twords Cams. Nick walked acroos the the cross the walk twords their house to the river.
Kaz was in frount of the dry cleaning place when a patrol car was coming. She quikly hid in the drive through untile the car passed. She checked the street. Someone grabed her from behind and pulled her behind the dry cleaning place. It was the guy with the black jacket she saw earlyer. He had is hands over her mouth.
"Shhh." he whispered into her ear. He gentally released her. He pulled off his hood. He had light brown hair and dark eyes. "Its okay."
"Antonio?" she studied him hard.
"Yeah" he agreed. "What are you doing out here Kaz? You could of been seen by the cops."
"No one out here." the voices echoed. A car door slammed and they drove off.
"Be careful. Where are you going?" he asked
"Cameron's. I need to get there fast. Do you know what time it is?"
"It's 1:12. Why?"
"Dam. I gotta go." Kaz turned around to leave but Antonio grabed her arm.
"Some one can catch you... do weird things to you. Let me go with you." he said
"Fine with me." agreed Kaz. "We have to hurry though. I only have about ten minutes to get Cam and get to the Coke company."
"Well lets go." They toof off running down the sidewalk. They ran passed Minit Market and flew passed the library. They ran down the middle school sidewalk and passed the school cafetirea. They bolted across the frount lawn of the middle school.
Kaz and Antonio stopped in frount of Cam's house. Kaz banged on Cam's window. Cam opened to curtain. He looked at Kaz for a moment and the opened to window.
"C'mon! well gotta go!" wispered Kaz. "We're meeting Lex and Nick at the Coke company."
"Kay" Cam jumpped out of the window.
"We have five minutes to get there. So gotta haul ass." said Kaz
"Nick went across the river at this time of night?" Cam asked.
"Yeah, him and Lex should be at the Cola company in a few so we gotta go."
"I know short cut." said Antonio.
"Where?" asked Cam
"We have to go through the razor wire at the field." he said
"Me and Cam have been through there plenty of times. That shouldnt be a problem." said Kaz.
"Why dont we just take main then? It'll take back to the four way with out razor wire." said Cam
"Lets go that way." its less of a danger and we wont lose any body parts." said Antonio. They ran off.
