 I faintly remember the wreck, it was so horrible and painful my mind tried to block it completely. I was at my best friend George's house with my Mom and Pop, and my girlfriend. It was fourth of July and we had a huge barb BQ with beer and fireworks. Since I was only 16 no matter how manly i was my mom didn't allow me to drink.

 George's parents allowed him to drink freely, because they weren't strict on parenting. Once my parents left since i was staying the night, i was able to drink. My girlfriend Tammy and i got plastered. We weren't even with it half the time. After a long while of drinking and shooting fire works George wanted to go down to the beach.

 It wasn't wise to drive drunk, but we were so drunk not to care. We got in the car with George behind the wheel. I don't know what happened next really. I remember the horrid sound of two cars impacting together, then i realized it was our car. Tammy wasn't wearing a belt, neither was George or I. We were flung like rag dolls from the car. I do remember glass shattering beneath me as i flew through the air then all went black. 

Eventually i finally awoke, no clue of what had happened. I tried to open my eyes but i couldn't. I could hear distant voices talking, and noices that hinted i was in a hospital. My face hurt extremely bad, like it was peeled off slowly then burned. I tried to speak but it was a mumble. "Maumm" i said.

I felt a squeeze on my hand  "You made it through surgery sweet heart, your face will be bran new" The unfamiliar voice said. At first i assumed it was just a nurse. "James can you hear me, blink your eyes for Mommy" the strange voice said.

Unable to see nor actually talk i thought to myself, "James, what?? Who is James, I am Jordan,"
