So, have you ever watched a sunrise?  They're pretty amazing, when we finally hit the store the sky was a lovely color.  There's a reason people invented cars you know.
"Here at last," Drew murmured.  I nodded, done with my nervous breakdown.  Thank God the boy doesn't panic or our cover would've been so blown.  We stepped inside among murmurs of 'Who needs to shop this early?'  I guess that is what you would talk about at this time.  We drifted among the aisles, eventually selecting bread, cheese, and tometoes, Drew having mentioned he could make a passable grilled cheese, which was far more than I could do.  At the register Drew pulled out a very shiny looking card, impressive.  Unless it's one of twenty others.  But I get the feeling it's not, I think there's definately somethin he's hiding from me.  Oh Lord, what if this was like one of those awful "novels", you know, the ones with the ripped, shirtless guys on the front?  And he was assigned to protect me from the mob because my parents were CIA???  Wow, I think I deserve one of those V-8 slaps for that one.  It could happen...just not to me.  I think I've had enough excitement anyways.  We reached the apartment to find a different car sitting out front, maybe the cops were gone.  Was that a good thing or a bad thing?  As usual, my guess was wrong, partially anyways.  When we got closer a man in a suit stepped out, and let me tell you, this was defiantely one fine example of the male spectrum.  He was completely rocking the scruffy detective look.
"Ms. Randt?" he questioned on our approach.  I was getting really tired of hearing that.
   "Yes?"
"I'm Detective Kelly, may I speak to you alone for a moment?"  I handed Drew the keys and nodded.
"How can I help you?" I questioned.
"Shouldn't I be asking you that?" he questioned.  I frowned and said,
"Don't be all confusing, I'm tired."  When all I actually wanted to say was, 'Huh???'
"I'm not sure quite how to put this..." he trailed off and I lost my patience.
"I find that being blunt usually works best in these situations."
"I spoke to your boss, he told me that you've been single for quite some time now, that your last boyfriend," he paused to look at his notes, "Brady, cheated on you with a prostitute.  Are you going to attempt to tell me that Mr. Hale is Brady?"  I opened my mouth to speak, but he beat me to it.  "May I remind you that lying to me would be a chargeable offense?"  I looked at my feet and muttered,
"When did I come under investigation?"
"Uh, maybe when you lied to a police officer."  Well, that shut me up. "How much do you actually know about Mr Hale?"
"Not much," I replied, studying a scuff mark on my shoe.
"Just as I thought, we're going to have to take him into custody."
"Whaa- No, I'm not pressing charges."
"I'm sorry, but it's either you or him."
"Fine," I said sticking out my wrists defiantly.
