So, my ultra awesome ride to the police station to pick up 'Mr. Hale' was in the back of a cruiser. The driver even offered to put me in handcuffs, I think he was trying to be funny. If only my mother could have seen me, she would've left me some money! When we finally arrived they had me wait in the lobby, like some little old lady waiting for her son, need I again mention that he's not my child? That that would be impossible? I have to say it was all worth it when I saw the look on his face. Seriously, the camera comercials should've seen it. He had been rubbing his wrists, apparently they order handcuffs in size extra puny, when he looked up he just stopped. I had to finish closing the distance between us.
"Why, hello." I said trying for the cute heroine thing, I don't think it quite worked.
"What are you doing here? Is jail the next step of your 'I seriously want to die' plan?" I let the smile melt into a glower,
"Look, I'm really tired and I'm the only thing standing between you and a cell. So I'd smile and play along if I were you, honey."
"Obviously, you're not me, I don't have 'I'm naive attack me' tattoed on my forehead," An officer seemingly sensing the growing tension walked forward and spoke,
"Would you like a ride home, Ms. Randt?" I glanced at Drew questioningly,
"Oh, please lead on Ms. Randt." Great, I'd gone and saddled myself with a complete and total ass. I guess that's what you get when you try to save someone who hangs out in a bar mothers scare their children with.
