Next up is mommy dearest. Her and my father split when I was three, supposedly that's when mom stopped cleaning. According to her she used to clean the entire house by herself, so many lies. She would often talk about how happy she used to be before the divorce. After all she would do is read and sleep if she wasn't at work. Not that she had to since my dad was paying $750 a month in child support even though he had us half the time. (For those of you who aren't divorce lawyers that's a lot of money.) My mom's version of "quality time" is going to see a movie, no candyland for me. :( I truly hate wasting my time thinking about her, you have no idea. Another thing, you know the pressure parents are supposed to put on their kids? Multiply that by about 700 and you've got my mom... actually a better version of my mom. She says that she loves me, but you don't let children you love go to school like that, you don't send them to the slaughterhouse in such a way. People keep saying that blood is thicker than water, I tell them what's between me and my mom is a black tar like substance. They also say forgive and forget (so save it, will ya?) I respond that I'll forgive when I forget. Sometimes I wonder if she died tomorrow if I would even go to the funeral, I kind of doubt it. Maybe that's bad, I really don't care anymore.

the sad thing is i can relate some what. i did not speak to my mother for close onto 4 years and i really did not want to go back down that path, but as the Gods see fit to do what they do, we where forced together at the funaral of my late Nana and are now trying to resorect or is that forget the past and move on? time will tell. must say i like your "I will forgive WHEN I forget." keep going you are actualy helping others too, even if that was not the intention. |
